797. Sky2004 : I’m the mother to the adopted child’s half sister and I’m trying to help her locate her half brother. They obviously have the same father.
The adopted boy, Mason, was adopted shortly after his mother gave birth. She didn’t want a reminder of her affair with my husband (ex husband now). She told me she was giving Mason to her cousins whom lived outside of Illinois (where we all live) in a different state. I don’t remember the state she told me tho because that was 12-13 years ago.
I think my daughter deserves to know her one and only step sibling. And she wants to know him, too!
When college time comes along for both of them, I don’t want them to meet and fall in love and end up finding out too late that they are siblings. Mason’s mother, Mandy, shouldn’t want that either.
I think Mandy is afraid that if I find Mason, I will tell him about his real dad and what a narcissist he is and that Mandy doesn’t want her son to ever meet his birth father.
800. Hellointhere : Hi, I’m Claire. I was given up for adoption in 1983. After locating my birth mother I was told she had a twin sister. Not only that but her twin gave a little girl up for adoption 7 months after I was born. I’ve always been hopeful to meet this girl just because our stories are so similar.
801. Brat : My brother was born in Mobile‚ Al January 28th between 1980-1983. He was placed for adoption right after birth. I don’t know too much‚ because it was way before I was born. His name at birth was Mevin/Melvin (Not sure of the spelling) Manuel...No middle name. I’m also Not sure if his name was changed after adoption. Our mom name was Rosalind Manuel.
803. Keverett57 : I was born in Gadsden, AL to a woman who I was told had red or reddish hair. She gave me the birth name Patricia Johnson. I was told that she and her husband were separated at the time of my birth. I am not looking to disrupt the family - only to find out information.
804. Keverett57 : I was born in Gadsden, AL to a woman I was told had red or reddish hair. She supposedly had 3 sons before me, so I know I have at least 3 siblings. My birth name (that she gave me) was Patricia Johnson. I don’t know if she had other children that would have been born after me. I don’t want to disrupt the family, just find out information.
805. SAD96 : I found out through DNA that I have a BF that isn’t my father. I have found two birth sisters born in 1966. I was also born in 1966. There is rumored to be another birth sibling out there. May not be adopted or be aware of Birth Dad.
807. Devin1992 : Hey im looking for an older sister that my mothers name karen palmer she was at the florence critten home in mobile Alabama and gave birth at mobile infirmary
809. Jsgcsa20 : My late mother-in-law was adopted as a baby. She knew her mom, but she has been deceased since 2007 and our family would love to know our relatives. She lived in Phenix City, AL, but could have actually been born or adopted across the river in Columbus, GA.
810. Elithepi : My mother was an unwed pregnant teenager in Florence, Alabama and in 1969 gave birth to a boy at Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa, AL. Alfred Joseph Lawson was his birth name. 6lbs 9oz his birth weight. Adoption would have gone through Lauderdale County (Florence). I was born in 1974 as an only child and was told about this when I was 10. I am curious as to who my half brother is and how their life has been.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
