A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Alabama Who Chose To Be Featured
256. Jeffphillips1978 : I am a son searching for his birth parents. I was born in Mobile,Alabama on November 18th 1978. I believe I was born at Mobile Infirmary. The adoption was handled through Catholic Social Services of Mobile. I had brownish blonde hair and blue eyes at birth. My adoptive mothers name at the time was Debra Ann Jones of Mobile. Her parents were Author and Ann Gerhardt also of Mobile. She later married and became Debra Phillips. All I know of my birth parents, is that they were both young. Her 17 and he 19. He was a mechanic and she was a cultured well to do young lady who came from wealth whose parents did not see it fit for her to have a child at the time. I was once told by a relative that my birth mother tried to make contact with my adoptive mother while she, my birth mother, was stationed at Fort Stewart in Hinesville, Ga. My mother had her escorted of the premises. I would like to hear from anyone at this point. Distant relative of birth parents or lost sibling. Godspeed.
257. Juliathumser : I’m looking for my sister born January 14 1978 in Mobile Alabama at mobile infirmary whose birthday mother is named Patricia deemy. there was no name given at birth.
264. Madisondominick : I’m looking for my half sister. My mom gave her up for adoption when she was sixteen years old. She has been looking for her for a long time. She was born in Birmingham Alabama in Shelby county . She was born October 24, 1987 Her adopted mom worked at the airport and her adopted dad had a restaurant franchise. The only thing we know is that her first name is Emily and her middle name is Ann.
266. Sunsetsabound : My son David Alexander Langdon was born in Richmond, VA, in the VCU hospital on December 8, 2010. At the time, his father and I were in a relationship. To protect my son from his angry father, I had Children and Youth Services (CYS) pick him up. After over a year of fighting to regain custody of my son, I gave him up for adoption, as I could no longer handle the emotional struggles that went along with attempting to get him back.
My son was with a potential adoptive family, but something went wrong (I don’t know precisely what happened), and so he was removed from the home, and sent back to foster care. And that is when I lost contact with him.
My hope is to reconnect with my little boy. I’m taking a huge risk to my mental health in an effort to find him. Please assist me if you know anything that can help.
I’m 28 now, and I live in Pennsylvania. I am no longer involved with his father.
268. N1017k : I am searching for my birth mother. Her name is Sharon Ann Lee from Bessemer, Alabama. She named me Melissa Lee on October 17,1969. I was born in a Ashland, Alabama hospital. My birthmother was a 19 year old college student.
269. Meghaela : Looking for a brother who was born in April of 1969. Birth name Gary Ribe. Birth mother was from the Nashville area and had given up one child in KY and one in TN. Probably gave Gary up in a Southern state.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
