A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Alabama Who Chose To Be Featured
901. Patrickweaver : I was born on April 14th, 1994 at the University of South Alabama medical center at 6:20am. In a court document I have it says “Infant Male Harvell.” So I’m assuming that was my last name given to me at birth before my adoption from Catholic Social Services.
903. DorothyNell : Could have been born Columbus Medical Center or Cobb Hospital in Phenix city AL. Belived to have been male. Birth mother Dorothy Daughtry or Hancock. Year could have been 1953-54-55..not sure
904. Destineynb : Birth mother is Leigh Graves Najor
Birth Father Derrick mccorkle.
Adoption took place in Mobile, AL
Birthday may be off.
Adopted parents were in Pensacola, FL when she was 8 years old.
905. Relogan : I know my birth mothers name is Wilma Lynn Knowles. I was born at USA women’s and children’s hospital in mobile, al. I know I have 2 half siblings in New Mexico and a half sibling born in TN as well. I was adopted in December of 1997.
907. GunnerFernau : I’m in the search for the birth family of my mother Jeana Mitchell, previously named Heidi from Alabama, was adopted my Edward Mitchell and Jean Mitchell.
908. U263934 : My father was born Sept. 28, 1950 in Austin, TX. He was white and his parents were white. There was the name of Albert Alsenz listed as his father but I think that might not be true. I am almost positive the mother was Alice Marie Lane Alsenz. Albert was born in 1911 in Brooklyn, NY and Alice in 1927 in Shandaken, NY. Both parents stated they had other children from other relationships either already adopted out or in foster care waiting for papers to be signed so they can be adopted. The only indication of where these children are is the mother said she had a child in foster care ’up east’ with the parents wanting to adopt the child which may have been a boy. The Alsenz’s lived in Austin, TX in 1950-1952 and in Kansas in 1956. The Kansas census has a Donald and a Jack Alsenz listed as being with them. I don’t think these were Alice’s children. I think they were the children of Albert and a Ruth Kniffen Alsenz Hartman Olsen now buried in New Orleans, and they were visiting with Albert and Alice, with Ruth being the person in charge of them. Let me know of any info, please, by sending a message.
909. Draven347 : I was born in Atlanta‚ Ga in April of 1981. I’m a caucasian male. It was a private or closed adoption ( not sure of the difference). My adopted parents lived in Alabama. I don’t know if the adoption took place in GA or AL‚ but I know that a lawyer brought me to meet then in Alabama. I have been very curious over the past few years as to who my birth parents were. I have heard that my mother was young and she gave me up because she wanted to go to college and didn’t think she could give me the life she wanted me to have. This is all the info I have.
910. BarbaraBruchsWinn : Anniston, Alabama
Mother was Pearl Wilkerson
May have been an illegal adoption because state has no record of it.
Father probably in military at Ft. McClellan, Alabama
Might have be Dr Adams of Anniston.
911. Stevencody : Im looking for my son birth given name that’s all I know was Joey chase Godwin I’m sure he didn’t keep that name he was born on June 7th 8th or ninth of 2000 but I think it is the 8th he was born at Baptist Montclair in creast Wood Birmingham Alabama The adoption agency was life line they were part of save a life the adopted parents both had medical problems ithe birth mother name is ivylyn Christine Godwin also goes by ivy Godwin I want my son to know has a bunch of brothers and sisters and parents that loves him
912. MaryFP : I was born in Vernon‚ Alabama‚ in Lamar County. I have been told my birth name was Kimberly Jo but not sure of a last name. I was adopted around 22 months of age and have been told I spent time with a foster family prior to being adopted. I think the adoption took place maybe in Montgomery. Private adoption with an attorney from south Alabama.
914. Hmsellers13 : My birth mother is listed on my paperwork as Priscilla Sharpe although her social security number matches a lady named Virginia McCoy. She was 23 and a student at Auburn University. Her birthday was in December. I was born in Chambers County Alabama. I was placed in foster care for 7.5 months while two different families fought for me in court. I believe my biological father was also a student at Auburn University and may have played basketball there. I’m not sure if he knew about me.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
