Mother went back to agency office 1-2 days and demanded her baby.
Agency told her legally she couldn’t not change her mind.
Agency went to visit mother days later where she was told they couldn’t let her have her baby because she didn’t have home or job and she’d signed her rights away and the adoptive parents had already the baby.
She was young with no support system and did not know her rights.
She tried to stop what she’d been forced to do and was lied to by the adoption agency.

This was a traumatic time in her life but she’s a wonderful mom who everyone loves. Our biological brother was very much wanted and very much longed for for the rest of our moms life. We hope to get the opportunity to find him.
722. Kbazan1981 : His name was Shannon Wayne Williams at birth. He was born July 16‚1971. I have never met him but I would like to. I still have a picture of my mother and him together.

728. Jenniferpb : I am searching for my son I gave up 18 years ago, I am praying he is searching for me as well, he made me the person I am today, strong and passionate about life. Mark was born at Springhill memorial in Mobile, AL. on May 27, 1994 in the am. I met Patty and Rick and another adopted child at the time of your adoption. I think his name was steven or Brian. I was told they were going to keep your name as Mark Steven.
730. Lkng4lnglstsblng : After my mother’s death in 2007 an 11x14 photograph of a little girl was discovered in her closet.
I always believed that I was the oldest and only girl with six younger brothers.
The little girl in the photo looks enough like my oldest brother to be a twin, and looks to be about 3 months old.
My Aunt tells the story that my mother was pregnant from a previous marriage that didn’t work out and after meeting my dad, he required her to give the baby up.
The marriage and baby were kept a secret until after her passing.
She met my dad in March of 1952 and was possibly 3 to 4 months along when they met.
She went on to stay with his family in Roanoke VA. and were later stationed in Lubbock TX. where I was born in September of 1953.
Family members on my dad’s side all deny any knowledge her.
Birth months are only a guess, and there’s not much to go on.
I suspect the baby went to a friend or family member, since the photo of this baby was professional and the baby was several months old, making it likely it was someone she knew.
My mother was married as a young girl, to a man named Donald Hogan from Alabama. Her birth place was also Alabama.
They were married in Tiajuana Mexico, in 1951 and lived in San Diego, CA, where he was stationed in the Navy.
She left him after an argument, when he told her they weren’t really married, so she never divorced him believing they weren’t.
No doubt she was pregnant when she left, afraid and ashamed.
I display the photo now wondering where my sister is, and if she even knows she has a sister and 6 brothers.
I hope to find her someday.
733. Tearlach : Freda Mae White (Caucasian) had a child between Jul 1959 and Dec 8‚ 1960. We think she delivered the child at the Salvation Army Women’s Home in Birmingham‚ Alabama and we were always told it was a baby girl that was adopted by a couple out of Montgomery‚ Alabama but have no way of knowing this for certain. Could be wrong on the sex of the child. So many things she was not forthcoming about. But we are certain of the time frame.
735. Mandrilly2002 : I am in search of my brother at the time of adoption his name was timothy my mom called him timmy.
I am not 100% sure what his actual birthday is. My mom is not in her right state of mind and does not remember much of the information to search for my brother. All I know is a name and a state of adoption. I will try and get more information if need be but as of right now this is all I have. Moms maiden name is Patty Duckett birth father unknown. My name is Amanda Melchor and I would love to find my brother. Thank you
