A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Alabama Who Chose To Be Featured
211. Joe1938 : My name is Joe, I was born on Sept. 13, 1983, in Birmingham AL. I was adopted through the Children’s Aid Society of Alabama. My mother’s name is Terri and unsure what my fathers name is.
212. Mab1 : I am searching for my half-sister. I do not have much information other than she was likely born in July 1970 at a home for unwed mothers in Alabama or west Georgia, possibly a Baptist charity. My mother was 17 at the time.
214. CDCHANCE : I was personally adopted I recently found out that I had a brother that was adopted also. I would like to find my brother. The information I have thus far is that he was born at Bryson Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Alabama in July 1958. He was placed in foster care in Dekalb or Jackson counties in Alabama. I was born on July 15,1961 also in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and was put in foster care in Dekalb or Jackson Counties in Alabama. Parental rights were terminated on Bobbie Marlene Wilbanks birth mother of Henagar, Alabama on August 25.1961 for us both. We were placed in separate foster homes and I was adopted on November 20, 1961 and he was adopted in December 1962.
216. SalaciousCrumpet : Seeking cousins I barely remember. You were born Jesse Stanton in or near Chicago IL, somewhere around 1975-1976, to parents Ron and Vicki/Victoria, and you have a younger sister named Sabrina. My name is Rhonda. Ron’s sister Dixie is my mother, which makes us cousins by blood, though we were probably all too young to remember.
While I am in touch with Ron occasionally, and know his whereabouts, I am absolutely NOT here to push you to get in touch with your birth father if you don’t want to. I am not at all in touch with my own, so I understand if you prefer to stay anonymous. I’m just putting this out there because I don’t have a lot of family and I’m curious about your lives... hoping you grew up with fantastic parents and had a lot of fantastic days. And if not... we can always share stories of how we overcame. :) Either way - I hope lives right now are as happy and entertaining as can be, and I hope to hear from you.
-Rhonda

218. Joseph54 : I was born Joseph Mandell in Mobile, Al. I am Caucasian and born in 1954 and adopted in Mobile, Al.. My adoptive parents took me first to Brewton, Al, , I think. I was adopted by Thelma McCall Purvis and Jimmie McClane Purvis.

220. Elizabeth1207 : Hi, I am looking for my sister who was born in County Cavan, Ireland in August 1957. My mums name is Lucy Reilly who was also from County Cavan, Ireland.
On my sisters original birth certificate her name was Mary Brigid. I believe that she was adopted by an american couple and taken to America, but I don’t know how true this is because of the secrecy that surrounded adoptions in Ireland in the 1950’s.
223. Laurahernandez : I’m unsure of the State that you where adopted from, your mother Joyce Ludwig was from Wisconsin and Minnesota, but went away for the birth.
You might have been placed thru Catholic Charities Adoption Services.
and your mother of Joyce Ludwing and father Lorne Johnson.
Also not sure what year you where born, but my best guess is the end of 1968 or early 1969, as your mother was back in MN in the mid to late 1969.
I am your sister and I was born July 1965, and we share the same father. I have had by DNA tested thru 23andme.
