A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Oregon Who Chose To Be Featured
1366. JeromePaul : My Dad‚ Jerome Paul Blissenbach was born on October 3rd 1950 at 8PM in unknown hospital located in Multnomah county‚ Portland‚ Oregon. Based on Amended birth certificate attendant at birth C. S. Brown with box checked M.D. next to it. Heard he weighed 5 pounds. Adopted patents were Joseph and Lillian. Went to unknown orphanage in Portland Oregon‚ maybe Our Lady of Providence Nursery.
1367. Terry01191963allwen : I am trying to find my boyfriends biological family. I have a small theory based off some interesting facts and conspiracy theories. His name Is Terry Lawrence Allwen.
1369. Cherylh72 : Looking for brother who was adopted. He was born in Texas and adopted by a family in Hillsboro‚ Oregon. His mother’s name is June and his brothers name is James.
1370. DestineyRoseMartinez : Looking for a sibling who is searching for me. I am Destiney Rose Martinez Fisher who was born in Iowa City Iowa. My mom is Rachel Fisher and dad is Gonzalo Martinez.
1372. Walker1509 : Looking for my younger brothers. They are twin brothers and I think they were raised in Portland Oregon.
Jayden or Bryce could be possible names.
1373. Walker1509 : Looking for my younger brothers. They are twin brothers and I think they were raised in Portland Oregon.
Jayden or Bryce could be possible names.
1374. AllDogsgotoHeaven : I do not know how much except I do not look like either of my parents and they have no baby pictures of me and we are no longer in contact.
1375. Angelaxr7 : My brother was born on 7/2/1976 and was taken from my mom on 7/3/1976 as part of a black-market adoption ring common during that era in San Francisco‚ CA. The baby was taken from my 14 year old mom as she was a runaway at the time. She was released from the University of California San Francisco Hospital (San Francisco County). My mom was initially allowed to see the baby (left unattended in a portable crib by her hospital bed). The next morning‚ a hospital employee informed her that her baby had died. They would not allow her to see her baby again‚ and when she asked about the burial‚ the nurse told her it was against the rules and that her child would instead be buried in mass grave. They had her sign some form resembling a "contract" that she didn’t understand. A few years ago‚ I happened to cross paths with a retired RN who happened to work in the SF area during those years with her husband who was a physician. She was quite familiar with‚ and apologetic for‚ the unfortunate practice of black-market adoptions at those hospitals‚ during that era. She was a wealth of information and informed me that we are possibly looking for a child with a birth certificate filed within a few days of 7/2/76 with the generic name "Baby Boy" on the birth certificate. The retired RN I spoke with mentioned that the hospital staff would not have filed a false death certificate for these types of situations due to the legal implications of filing a false death record.
On May 27‚ 2022 - We confirmed with the vital records office in San Francisco that there is a certificate of live birth but no death record exists for my brother which confirms he did not die in the hospital on July 3‚ 1976 and that the hospital indeed lied.
1376. JanetAnnAdams : Looking for my half brother. Born as James Adams I believe.
I hear he was adopted and possibly moved out to the
mid west from the east coast.
My fathers Name is Roger Adams. I do not know my
half brothers mothers name
1377. ValerieAug1970 : I was born in Portland‚ Oregon at Emanuel Hospital. My birth mother and my adoptive mother had (or I was at the very least delivered by) the same doctor. His name was Peter Roberts. The information given to my adoptive parents was that my birth mother was young and that her brother had juvenile onset diabetes. No other information was given.
1378. Nanafarm1952 : He was born at Sacred Heart Hospital. The adoption was private through my obstetrician. The attorney was Ken Morrow. I think the writing mother’s name was Kathy. I tried to change my mind 3 days after signing papers and was told I couldn’t or I would be sued. I had just turned 19 on 05/29/1971. All of my calls to the attorney were refused and I had no way to hire an attorney of my own so finally gave up.
1379. BowesLinnReynier : Our Oma married young‚ had a child‚ and then her husband went to fight WWII. When he returned Oma was pregnant with child or had just had a child‚ but it was not husbands. So she gave this child up. Somewhere between Oklahoma and California this child was put up for adoption. The couple later divorced and she married his brother and had four more children. Her first husband kept the oldest boy‚ then there’s a missing child (not sure of gender‚ Oma told me boy once)‚ then 3 girls 1 boy by the brother husband. Maiden name Nunnally and married name Edwards. Anyone think this sounds familiar?
1380. Katelynbridges2002 : My name is Katelyn Bridges. I live in Oregon. I was adopted at the age of 9 out of the foster care system. I have gotten in contact with my biological mom’s side of the family. I am trying to search for my biological father. I know nothing about him and neither does my biological family. My biological mother’s name is Susan Dunlap and my birth last name is also Dunlap.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
