1914. Mjones8471 : I was born at the old St Vincent's Hospital in Portland on 11/16/1954. My adoptive parent were Margery and Eugene Jones. The hospital wouldn't let my birth parents pick me up from there because they weren't Catholic. Multnomah County Judge Long oversaw my transfer in his chambers 2 or 3 days after I was born. My birth mother was Canadian and had 4 other older children. I think her name was Sally LaCroix‚ born in 1913‚ and was living in an apartment on SE 15th and Main in Portland because my great aunt who lived next door told my adoptive mother about my birth mother being pregnant with me. I guess it was called a grey market adoption since it didn't go through normal channels. The state of Oregon has limited information but has the transcript of a meeting between my birth mother and a person from the State doing a follow-up report date 2/14/1955. I think that's all I have.
1915. ShaniLian7 : I am not sure‚ but I might have been born at Berhen(sp) Hospital in Glendale‚ California. The adoption took place I believe in Sutherland Oregon or possibly Roseburg‚ Oregon. The woman‚ Grace Francis Couts nee Martin‚ illegally adopted me. I believe I am one of the stolen children.
as I overheard her tell someone that's the reason she left california because she wanted to take me. There were 3 professionally taken photographs of me. It looked like I was able to sit up or maybe I was propped‚ somehow so I'm not exactly sure how old I was. But it was still very young.00 She was turned fifty the year I was born‚ had a physical handicapped from polio when she was young‚ and divorced. When I was in my mid to late teens‚ I tried to find out what I could and I did find that she had sold one of the rentals she had‚ and almost the exact amount of the sale went to a lawyer who drew up the adoption papers. He was running for judge. And after he was elected‚ he signed the adoption by the time I had found out that he had passed away. All her family had A‚ B or AB blood type and I am O-.

The hospital where I gave birth was Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center: 10180 SE Sunnyside Rd Clackamas‚ OR 97015. The original birth certificate names Aif Wyller MD as the attendant at the birth. My address at the time was 35301 SE Hwy 211 Boring‚ OR 97009. The lawyer that handled the adoption was a very caring man. His name is Lawrance L. Paulson on his business cards and letterhead but he goes by Larry. At the time of the adoption He worked at the law firm of Schwabe‚ Williamson & Wyatt: Pacwest Center‚ Suites 1600-1800 1211 SW Fifth Avenue Portland‚ OR 97204. The firm also had an office in Vancouver‚ Washington: PO Box 61445: 515 West Fifteenth Street Vancouver‚ WA 98666. On March 16‚ 1990‚ The adoptive parents sent a picture to me through the lawyer of him taken in May of 1989. They had also sent 3 other pictures in August of 1990. The pictures show a cute boy with a great smile and curly brown hair. That's all of the information I have regarding the statistics surrounding the adoption.
