I raised him for almost 2 years and department of human services took him out of my custody and wouldn’t allow my family members to help me in any way. It broke my heart. 1144. RandieJo : I have recently begun my genealogical journey armed with the knowledge that my dad was adopted and that he didn’t want to know anything more than that. After asking a time or two, and being turned down, I had given up on any hope of learning my paternal ancestry. Within the last month, however, I had the opportunity to go through an album made by my grandma about my dad’s younger years (0-21). Lo and behold, right on the first few pages, she has the letters of correspondence between the attorney’s office (Venn, Mulder, Morrow, & McCrea) and herself AND a little bit of information on the birth parents. All I know for sure is that my dad was 5lbs 15oz and 20.5” at birth. He was born a week or two early at Sacred Heart General Hospital in Eugene, Oregon on 11/1/1966 to a 19-year old unwed practical nurse. She was described to my grandma as follows: dark brown hair and eyes, 5’5”, 125lbs, German/Irish/Scottish heritage, and no serious hereditary diseases. His biological father was described as 5’10”, 150lbs, with blonde hair and blue eyes, attending college at the time, and was good and healthy. Charles S. Williams, M.D. is listed as the attending physician.

Our father’s family attended Saint Rose church in Portland Oregon. They were told you were placed with a family in the Eugene Oregon area - not sure how accurate that information is.
