A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Oregon Who Chose To Be Featured
211. Searching3ts : My sister whose birth name was Teaaron was born in Iowa 4/13/2000 she’d be 17 now and my brothers born as tejay 4/22/2002 and other brothers born trayven 4/06/2003 were adopted out of Oregon to Tennessee
212. Leomartin : Born in Yamhill or McMinnvile or another part of Oregon and given up for adoption the same day. Very eager to find members of my biological family.
213. Mrmuhabi87 : I was adopted through LDS social services. I was born in Salem, Marion County, OR. I know my birth father was from Senegal. My adoptive parents are from Utah and that is where I was raised. I would like to find out who my birth mother and father are. A big reason is for family health history so I know what to expect as I am getting older.
214. Lindsay33 : I found out I am the older sibling of another girl who was adopted a year after I was born. She contacted me through a DNA match website. I would like to know what medical history I have in my bloodline only. My family is still the people that raised me from my 3rd day in life. However‚ since I have a daughter of my own‚ it would be nice to know such information.
215. Deanna4115 : I was adopted at age 3 . I am looking for my biological half sister, her name was Patricia upchurch at birth. I don’t know which state she was born in but I know she was in foster care in Portland Oregon in 1975 ....our birth mothers name was Mary Ann cady or Mary Ann upchurch.
216. Elurya : I’m looking for my mother’s birth family. She was adopted by the nurse of the doctor who delivered her. I am fairly certain the family name was Davis. The birth mother was heavy set, and possibly died young. Her family was large, Roman Catholic, and not well off. They adopted my mother out because they could not afford another mouth. Both families moved out to the west hills of Portland not long after the adoption, unbeknownst to each other, and it is believed that my mother’s blood brothers attended catechism class with my mother’s adopted brothers when she was a baby. Both families attended St. Pius the X church near my mother’s new home. At some point this family possibly lived in the Bonny Slope area. My mother passed away in 2004 due to non-genetic cancer. She always felt that her adoptive family was her family (which is true), and while I agree, I also have a child of my own, and am curious about our blood relatives. If anyone from my family sees this, I’m sorry, I love you, but I wonder.
