967. Dsyeaton : We looked for decades for a missing cousin. We found his sibling several years ago via cousinconnect and him this year (2019) via DNA, about two weeks before their birth mother our aunt died.
She was born in 1960 and adopted in FL. He was born in 1958, adopted in CA, and lives in UT.
At our aunt’s funeral, neighbors told us that in her last months, she told them she had children. Three or four children. Neighbors have told us that the aunt (born 1936) became pregnant in high school (1950-1955 if this is true) or at age 17 (1953-1954 if this is true) and was sent to FL to have the baby.
We do not know much: mother’s maiden name, if listed: Anderson, birth state of mother: MA, she was very tall and thin, loved animals and dogs, Danish, German, English ethnicity. We have done DNA on ancestrydna and 23andme.
If this is you....or you think it could be you because part of the story matches...please do DNA testing so that we can see if we match!
And we are unsure why there were said to be: three or four children. Could it have been twins, which run in our family? Or is there another child with a different birth year and possible different birth and adoption state? These birth years are only guesses...it conceivably could have been any time after her birth in 1936 as maybe a teen (1949 or before?) to menopause (maybe before 1986?) but most likely in the 1950s or 1960s. Do any of these guesses for you or someone you know? We are a dozen cousins looking for decades!
968. McCordfamily : My brother and I surmised that our mother had a male child at the age of 15. She mentioned being sent to a "boarding School" for a year. At the time she lived in Bremerton,Washington. She has passed. We would love to find our sibling.
970. 1966vxz : I am looking for my daughter. She was born at St. Vincent Hospital in Portland, Oregon in November of 1966. She could have been adopted by a couple from Vancouver, Washington.
972. Christophermang : My cousins and I are looking for their sister/my cousin, who was taken from the family at the hospital at the age of 4 due to a huge misunderstanding at the hospital over an illness. Social services wrongfully took her from her birth mother, brother and grandmother sighting neglect when that was not the case. We have been looking for her and trying to find her for years. Her birth name is April Dawn Tanner. We believe she was adopted in Washington state but was in a hospital in Portland, OR when taken from her mother. She would be 27 today. I have pictures of her from when she was 4 years old. We would love to find her and reconnect.
973. Hughesma : Searching for birth father (Ruben Alonso Parra from Irrapuato Guanahuato Mexico) he would have been in or around Alturas, CA in 1987/1988.
I was born in Alturas, California on August 20, 1988. Being 10 weeks early I was sent to Medford, Oregon and stayed in the NICU. I was adopted by Craig and Jeanne Hughes of Tualatin, Oregon.
974. Hughesma : Hello, I was adopted at birth. Born in Alturas, CA. I’m searching for any siblings from my fathers side and also my father. His name was Ruben Alonso Parra and he was from Mexico.
975. LeslieLunceford : I am the birth mother, Leslie Judith Lunceford Willard.
I gave birth to a female born 6-5-1980 in Everett, Washington at Everett General Hospital, whom was given up for adoption within 5 months of birth in Portland, Oregon. She weighted 9 lbs 4 oz and was 24 inches long. I am unaware of the name of the family to whom adopted her, however, I do remember the license plate personalized with "BUNNY" and possibly lived on 136th and Holgate in Portland, Oregon. I am seeking out my birth daughter to try to make a connection regarding life and family affairs in which I believe she would like to know and she has the right to know.
Anything will be helpful . Thank you
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
