916. Juliaaok : I am new and need help to see if I have direct family out there. I was adopted when I was about a 1 yr old? Into the chechon children home. Evidently my birth mom had me in the hospital what I believe was Chechon‚ S. Korea. She left before they could get any of her information? Or that is what I was told. I was born June 21‚ 1985. I may have a twin sister...I saw an ad in a magazine of a women that looked jist like me but I lost the article.
918. Melrhodes0315 : Unfortunately‚ I do not have many details as they have been kept from me by my adoptive parents. On a Certificate of Naturalization‚ my birth name listed is Chang Tal Ki. I have searched the internet for that name/term/phrase‚ with zero results. My birth city is listed as Seoul‚ South Korea and I was adopted through an agency (unknown name) who worked with an orphanage (also unknown). However‚ I have been told that the orphanage who facilitated is/was affiliated with the Catholic Church. I am uncertain if that is actually true. I have also been told that I was approximately 6 (six) months old when I arrived in the United States - but am again‚ unable to verify validity. My adoptive mother (now deceased) had repeatedly told me that I was left on a park bench in Seoul.
Sadly‚ this is the only limited knowledge I have or have been told and I am uncertain on how true/false these pieces of "info" are‚ outside of my birth name.
919. Melrhodes0315 : Birth name on US Certificate of Naturalization listed as Chang Tal Ki and my birthplace is listed as Seoul‚ Korea. Unsure of validity (adoptive parents have withheld pertinent info/facts) but have been told I was adopted through a Catholic-affiliated agency after being left on a park bench.
920. Melrhodes0315 : Searching for any/all potential siblings from a Catholic-affiliated orphanage and have been told it was within 6 months of my birth. I do not have much information about my adoption circumstances and have finally begun seeking answers that I have so desperately wanted to know for my entire life. My next steps are to submit my DNA to an ancestry database in order to gain detailed info or facts about my ethnicity and if any siblings exist. My US Certificate of Naturalization indicates my birth country is listed as Seoul Korea with a DOB of 02.02.1980. I am also uncertain of the validity/accuracy of that data as I posses next to zero clues about my biological beginnings. While my race has always been checked as Asian - I have always suspected possible Caucasian genetics exist as well.
921. BarbaraNema : Looking for my sister‚ took the 23 and me test and she popped up. Didn’t even know about her until I took the test. Birth month and date are guesses but I do not know those are certain. I know she was born in 1981 but that is all.
922. TheKellers : I am looking for my birth mother and family. I was adopted by a military family - Ronald and Susie Keller in 1979 - when I was about 8-9 years old. I remember vaguely remember my birth mother.
925. Mck0117 : He was adopted by an American family in Seoul‚ Korea‚ when he was 6 months old. His birth mom named him Tommy Moon at birth. His adopted parents were told that his biological dad was an American soldier. There was no other information passed on to him at the time‚ and he would love to know more about his birth parents.
926. CharlotteJonas : I am looking for my Korean birth parents or any relatives. I was born on December 14th 1975 and was left in a street in Suwon on the 8th of May 1976.
927. Catholicemom : I was found with my twin sister at the Yongsan ku cross-country waiting room bus station. I am looking to see if anyone has information on how I can find any public records of twins born during that time frame.
928. KyeHyunJun : According to my adoption papers‚ I was given the Korean name Kye Hyun Jun. My mother was 18 years old and met my Father‚ who was 36‚ at the office of which they both worked. Due to the fact‚ that my father was already married with 2 children‚ they both (?) agreed that an adoption was the best life option for me.
I was adopted through the Holt Adoption Agency in Seoul‚ but is supposedly born in the Chungcheong province. Due to resent discoveries by the Truth and reconciliation commission in Korea‚ this story might be made up. I have been given the birth date 2. February 1986. And was adopted by a Danish couple. I arrived May 9th 1986 to Denmark. However‚ the clothes in‚ might suggest I was older.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
