So the birthmonth and day they believed, was in october 4th, year 1981. It was told in my adoptionpapers that I was placed at Gu Ro police station in February 4th, year 1982 and then reffered to Seoul city baby home afterwards. 568. Kmarshall129 : My birth name was Kim, Soon Young. I was born on December 9, 1984 in the Kyungki Do province in South Korea, I’m pretty sure near or in Seoul. My mother’s name was Na, Sam Soon. My parents were young and I wasn’t provided with my father’s first name - only his family name - Kim. I lived in a foster home for a few months as well as an orphanage and was adopted by an American family on May 9, 1985. This is a broad and first attempt at finding my biological mother. I’ve been living in Pennsylvania ever since and my name is Kathryn now.

569. Kmarshall129 : I was adopted as a 5month old baby girl. I was born in South Korea in the Gyeonggi-Do province (around Seoul). According to the paperwork I was able to find, my mother was 19 years old, named Sam Soon Na. My given name was Soon Young Kim (sound of a clear bell). My father doesn’t know that I even exist. He had moved on before she found out she was pregnant, according to questions that my birth mother answered in the reports. She worked in an electronics factory and had an 8th grade-equivalent education. I want to know what she looks like, if she’s alive, to let her know that I am ok and was placed with a wonderful family, and let tell her about her 2 biological grandchildren . I know this is a long shot, but it is my dream to meet her. I tried Facebook but had no luck. I really hope to find my mother!! More than anything.

570. Jungkil : I am searching for my birth parents. I have some paperwork that says my temporary address was #388-19, Hapjung-dong, Mpo-ku, Seoul, Korea. Holt Reception Center. I was adopted through Holt Children’s Services, Inc in 1986. I was born on June 10, 1986 under the name Kim Jung Kil. According to the paperwork I have, my guardian at Holt was Kim Han Kyu. The information also says my birth mother was 29 years old, a Junior High School graduate and worked in a factory. My biological father was a 29 year old man, a Senior High School graduate who was unemployed. They had met through a friend a year before my birth. The father did not want marriage or the responsibility of a child so they did not see each other again. The mother found it difficult to make the decision for adoption of the child but new she could not meet the responsibility of raising a child as a single parent and decided for adoption in my best interest. I was placed in foster care in a home with a mother, father, and a son in his twenties. I am not sure if I have siblings or half-siblings. I arrived in the United States on September 15, 1986 in the state of Iowa. The US Holt agency was the Iowa Branch Office, 2175 NW 86th Street, Des Moines, IA 50322.
