511. Miju : I’m looking for anyone related to me biologically.
My mother and father met boxing in May of 1999 and split before my mother discovered she was pregnant. My mother was currently a nurse’s aide in training and her parents owned a pub in Seoul. I know that my birth mother had blood type O, like me and that she was 161cm tall. My father was 163cm tall. My birth father was the second of two sons. My mother was born in Seoul, as the first of two daughters, they moved from Seoul to Gyeonggi-Do five years ago (1995 roughly). She majored in practical English in junior college in 1999 after graduation from high school, but found it inappropriate to her aptitude and left. She weighed 61kg. My mother entered Esther’s Home on July 15th, 2000.
514. SaushaLane : Hello, I was not actually adopted. My father was in the Air Force, met and married my mother and then they divorced in South Korea when I was around 1 year old. He brought me back to the states after that and I have had contact with my biological mother once when I was 10. Her last known location was Tamuning, Guam. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
515. Lkohtz : My father was adopted, and ever since learning this, I have been eager to know more about his past and his parents. I honestly don’t know much about his adoption, and neither does he. We’re honestly not even sure that his parents are alive, but it’s worth a shot!
518. MoonJungHyun : I was born at Il Shin Maternity Home at Buk Shin Dong of Choong Moo in the city of Kyung Sang Nam Do. This facility is no longer open and the city is now known as Tongyeong in South Korea. I was adopted to the United States through Eastern Social Welfare. I was born November 14, 1984 and was admitted into Eastern on November 15, 1984.
According to records, my birth mother’s name is Moon, Jung Sook and according to records my given name was Moon, Jung Hyun. This name may have been given by the social worker at the adoption agency. My mother was 22 at the time so she was most likely born between 1961 and 1963. Records show she was born in Geoje and was employed as a factory worker. She was around 160cm tall and graduated from middle school.
519. JungKyungWha : I think I was born in Seoul, Korea on 3 October 1974. I was relinquished to Severance Hospital, Outpatient department, CAPOK on 8 October 1974 by my birthmother. My name was Jung, Kyung Wha. I believe that the first name was given by my birthmother. Her name was Kim, Boo Mee. She was 35 years at the time and not married. The social worker who recorded this information was Goo, E Soon.
From CAPOK I was transferred to Holt, and from there adopted by my German adoptive parents via Terre des Hommes on 21 January 1975.
520. Stealthflight23 : My Mother was the maid that had an affair with the man that hired her. She dropped me off in a village. I know it was shameful back then but time heals all wounds. I am 10 percent Thai, rest Korean by DNA test. I have wavy, sometimes curly hair. One of my parents most likely has wavy or curly hair. I have wide natural eyes. Few recognize me as Korean, Some think I more look part Japanese, Native American, even Mexican. I have a round , squarish face
521. NicJ : I’m looking for my mother’s parents (either). Her father was a soldier (white), and her mother was a native South Korean woman. In English she went by "Sandy".
My mother was born in Seoul in 1956, and adopted in 1958. Sandy wrote my mom letters for a handful of years, and then stopped all of a sudden.
522. JosephPWells : Hello,
My name is Joseph Wells and I am currently searching for my girlfriends birth parents. Her name is Lea Choi Jilling and her birthparents are from Seoul, Korea. She was born in August of 2000 and currently lives in the United States. Choi is not her birthparents name. That is the last name of the caregiver that took over for the adoption. If anyone could find the caretaker or the adoption center feel free to contact me.
523. AnnaBananaCA : From what I remember, my sister is a few years younger than me. She was either adopted before me or she is with my birthmother. My last memory is I my mother buying me a pair of colorful rubber shoes that are shaped like a toy/miniature canoe.
524. KimYoungHaun1 : Born in Seoul South Korea. Want to find my birth parents. Was taken from the hospital to some sort of adopting center. I live in Sweden now and got here when I was about half a year. My birth name is Kim Young Haun.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
