I received through Catholic Charities upon my consent‚ a beautifully written letter from my birth- mother and a birth -brother. I have written a letter in response several times but unfortunately never thought it was good enough to send. Ii has been over 10 years since I first read their letters‚ and I regret quite often not responding. I long to let her know her selfless decision I believe she made out of love put me with a wonderful couple who have been the greatest parents any one could hope for. I want her to know they always told me I was special because I was given out of love and answered their prayers. Even though have such great adoptive parents I would love to have the chance to meet you and am sorry it has taken so long to reply to you.
1203. Caitheck : Greetings - my dad (Ted Heckathorn‚ from Beatrice Nebraska)‚ is looking for his older half brother who was born in 1934. Ted was born in 1938 and his little sister in 1944. Ted’s older brother was born in 1934 while his mother was at the home for unwedded mothers in Milford Nebraska. The adoption was sealed‚ however‚ our family has always wanted to know and embrace this son. The adoption was made against the will of his mother. She did not want to give up the baby. The father was a local farm boy. The mother has passed away and we were never in contact with the father. But Ted is still alive (87 years old in January 2026) and wishes to find and know his older brother.

The only information I have is that it was a boy‚ his name might be Christopher‚ he would have born in O'Neill‚ Nebraska‚ and an adoption agency out of Norfolk or Omaha Nebraska was used. I have tried for years to find out more information‚ however it is a touchy subject for my whole family.

I’m not sure when the adoption took place. My copy of my birth certificate says it was amended 05-10-1971.

Cortnie : the man I am looking for is probably deceased but his birth name was Joseph Gould‚ born April 21‚ 1927 and was taken to the Childs Saving Institue on April 26‚ 1927...not sure when he got adoped or if he stayed in Omaha‚ Nebraska. I would be his niece. Joseph had 2 sisters‚ Anna May Pardee‚ Laupsa and Evelyn Bernice Pardee‚ Clausen. He also had a brother named Robert Loyd Pardee. My mom tried to locate him before she passed but I told her I would keep trying. I found my Grandma...Josepshine B Halls Bible and Josephs name was in it with all this information.
