783. Jonniebell : I’m looking for my maternal grandmother (or aunt(s)/uncle(s)). My mother passed away two years ago‚ but I’ve always been curious about her biological family. My grandmother will always be my gramma and will always be my mom’s mother‚ but I just have to know where I come from. I have only one biological grandparent out of the four‚ so it’s worth a shot at least. The story goes that my gramma was asked to babysit the one year old daughter of a friend‚ coworker‚ or acquaintance (it’s been so long since I’ve heard the story‚ I’ve forgotten exactly how my gramma knew this woman). My gramma’s first and middle name is Mary Charlotte. I am unaware as to what her last name was‚ if it was her maiden name or from her first husband‚ her maiden name is Bell‚ I’m not sure about the husbands name. She was 20 years old and went to school for her graphic design and accounting degrees. So‚ she was asked to babysit the baby and the mother didn’t return. Not for a year. My gramma told her if she didn’t want/couldn’t care for the baby‚ that she would adopt her. The woman agreed and my gramma cared and loved for my mom until her death. This would have happened in or around DeSoto County‚ MS/Shelby County‚ TN in the late 1960s.
787. Charlotte1974 : I’m looking for my niece. Her parents names or Cavin Charles Mack Atkinson Jr Mother’s name Rochelle Lee Born at merit health Wesley in Hattiesburg Ms. We are not sure of the birth date of birth. Year was 2009 or 2010
788. Melissalarue49 : Her name is Lillian Hope Baxter she was born in Jacksonville florida at st.vincents hospital Her dog is 05/17/2005 her birth father’s name is Robert Mitchell Baxter. Her stepmother is Eva Baxter
790. DeniseStover : I was born April 27‚ 1970 at Howard Memorial Hospital in Biloxi‚ Mississippi. The doctor delivering me was Dr. Robert Middleton and I was born breach. Pete Halat was the lawyer involved. I was adopted at birth to 3 days old. The only birth certificate I have is with my adopted parents on it. I was supposedly a child out of wedlock who’s biological mother was very young (14 or 15 years old. My biological mother and biological father were possibly both from New York and a relative of my biological mother was in the United States Air Force. She was sent down to Keesler AFB where her male relative was stationed so she could have the baby (me) and return to her home (possibly New York or a state close to New York) once everything was over. I wonder if my biological father was aware of my existence?
791. Elizabethwagner216 : My aunt was given to a school teacher Mrs Brown in Lafore county in Oklahoma after her mom died. Her first name is Goldie. Had to be around 1927 or later. Her mother’s name was Mary Bond who was Chowtah she had a younger brother named Buddy Oliver Johnson. His dad’s name was Green William Johnson.
794. DeniseStover : I was born on April 27‚ 1970 on a Monday at Howard Memorial Hospital on Bayview Avenue‚ Biloxi‚ Mississippi. I was delivered by Dr. Robert Middleton. I was adopted on the 3rd day of life and the lawyer who arranged everything was Pete Halat in Biloxi.
I was told that my biological mother was very young and from New York. Her uncle was in the USAF stationed at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi. She was sent down to Biloxi to stay with her uncle until she delivered and then sent back home. I’m assuming that my biological mother and biological father did not marry.
My DNA confirms this connection to New York as my DNA pool shows the area of New York State‚ Northern Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
