(This was before me, i was born in 1971) She went to Florence Crittenton Home (a girl’s home) in Jackson, MS but I’m not sure the name of the hospital the baby was born at. 418. Babygirlgaunt81 : Searching for my biological mother and father. Also, any siblings I may have. I was born in Jackson, Mississippi, October 21, 1981. I’m told my BM went by "Candy", short for Candace. Last name, Gaunt. Alleged BF name is Marty/Martin Meyer. He may have been a twin.... Candy’s family was originally from Indiana, I believe. Her parents were divorcing around the same time as her pregnancy with me. BF denied and she filed a paternity suit against him. In the end, her siblings (I’m told there are many) helped her realize adoption would be best. I was adopted by George and Linda Walton of Meridian, MS at that time. Joe Lee was the attorney representing me.
420. SATXSpring1970 : UPDATE, 05/26/2019: DNA testing completed. My birth father was Thomas Edward Kennedy, a Navy airplane mechanic that was based in San Antonio, Texas in 1969. I am still seeking my birth mother.
- My mother was "allowed to believe" I was adopted into a state other than Texas, but I was born in San Antonio, and adopted into a wonderful family in Corpus Christi, Texas.
- My adoption was managed by Reverend Joseph L. Brown, Rector of The Church of Reconciliation - Episcopal, in San Antonio, Texas.
- Dick Conolly connected my adoptive family with Rev. Brown.
- Richard Bradshaw of the Law Offices of Allison, Maddin, White & Brin, Inc. oversaw the legal paperwork. My adoption was finalized July 24th, 1970 at 2pm.
I am thankful to be alive! I have a wonderful family and career, and a desire to express gratitude to the brave, selfless woman who carried me to term so I could be here. I am curious about my birth father and want him to know that I am alive, well, and enjoying life. My adoptive family was the greatest gift anyone could have given me. I hope I’m not too late in reaching out to you. Please know that you did the right thing in allowing me the chance to live out my life. I pray that you both are well and, regardless of your feelings toward reuniting with me, I understand and wish you all the very best life has to offer.
