A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Mississippi Who Chose To Be Featured
736. Shainah : My great-grandmother, Octavia Walters, was forced by her parents to place an illegitimate child up for adoption. She lived in Laurel, Mississippi at the time. The only information I have is that the child (unknown if a boy or girl) was born on June 11th, 1925 at "Beulah Home in Barrell, MS". However after much research, I have yet to discover any information regarding said "home". It wasn’t until today (11/24/2021) that my family and I discovered this child, as the child was born prior to my grandfather’s birth on February 29th, 1929.
737. Duchene96 : The agency was childrens homes society. I know my mothers name is Ann Marie but I was never told her last name. I know she was sick with schizophrenia. I was born in a hospital in minneapolis. I know my dads first name was Randy but that’s all I know about him. I was adopted when I was 3 months old.
739. Rachelclay : My name is Rachel Clay . December 17‚ 2009 I had a previous baby girl ‚ I named her Callie Shyanne Williams . She was born at king Daughters hospital in Brookhaven Ms . I was not living a good life then . I gave her up for adoption but I never signed any papers ‚ she was taken before I knew what was going on . I have totally changed my life . I am 15 years sober ‚ I am a traveling nurse ‚ I have a good life ‚ a wonderful husband and I would like to find my daughter . The person who was in charge of my case at the time ‚ forged documents and stole my rights and took my daughter before I knew it . I need help please to find my child . I am not truly to interrupt her life ‚ I would just like to know her and see a picture of her . The only picture I have is when I had her at the hospital and my oldest daughter is holding her
741. Jeremyfrazier : Looking for a brother that was born at the unwed mothers home in Jackson ms. The day was Christmas Eve. 1972 or 1973 his name was baby boy carroll.
742. Gwendolyn06 : Hi, I’m searching for the family and birth mother of my husband who was apparently born in West Point Mississippi on 3/25/1988. I believe he was possibly referred to as Baby Boy Clay. He was then taken to Jackson Mississippi where his adoption was completed and where he then went on to live in Lorman MS with his adopted family. It was a closed adoption and I have no information nor does his adopted mother on who the birth mother was. I want my son to be able to know who his birth family is if possible. Please if you know anything feel free to reach out.
743. U263934 : My father was born Sept. 28, 1950 in Austin, TX. He was white and his parents were white. There was the name of Albert Alsenz listed as his father but I think that might not be true. I am almost positive the mother was Alice Marie Lane Alsenz. Albert was born in 1911 in Brooklyn, NY and Alice in 1927 in Shandaken, NY. Both parents stated they had other children from other relationships either already adopted out or in foster care waiting for papers to be signed so they can be adopted. The only indication of where these children are is the mother said she had a child in foster care ’up east’ with the parents wanting to adopt the child which may have been a boy. The Alsenz’s lived in Austin, TX in 1950-1952 and in Kansas in 1956. The Kansas census has a Donald and a Jack Alsenz listed as being with them. I don’t think these were Alice’s children. I think they were the children of Albert and a Ruth Kniffen Alsenz Hartman Olsen now buried in New Orleans, and they were visiting with Albert and Alice, with Ruth being the person in charge of them. Let me know of any info, please, by sending a message.
744. Erica131520 : I am looking for my brother who was born in 1993 or 1994 my mother flew me and my brother to an adoption agency that had over 30 pregnant women waiting to have there child to give to the family they had chose. She received 7 binders with info of 7 different families to choose from. I know the state started with an M where the adoption agency was located but don’t remember which state exactly. I know my brother was born with black hair and was a healthy baby. The people who adopted him gave me a my little pony toy before getting my brother. I would really like to find my brother so I can finally meet him and so my children can meet him and see what type of life he had as a child and see if he’s happy and grew up happy and to know I never stopped thinking of him.
746. Tabby099 : Looking for brother that was born at st edward mercy medical center september 25‚1976 8 lbs 2 ounces at 10:21am. The adoption may have been finalized in another state. I have looked everywhere. Very closed adoption cannot get any information.
747. Karliembreywebb : I’m searching for my brother‚ we have the same father his name is Thomas Embrey‚ I’m not sure what the mother’s name was/is. It has been a dream of mine to find him ever since I found out about him when I was a child and my mother told me. Later my father told me about him but didn’t give me any information other than he was born in June 1981.
750. Riversong76 : My birth mother’s name was Rebecca. She was 16 when she was pregnant with me. She was dating an older guy who worked at Mandal’s Roofing. I was born in Gulfport‚ MS. My (adopted) father’s family owned a seafood market. I heard that my birth mother came in to the seafood market a few years after I was born and needed some help with clothes and things. My (adopted) father believes that my birth mother moved to Wisconsin. My birth father did live in Gulfport‚ MS around the time of Hurricane Katrina. He did not wish to speak with me at the time I called and denied that I was his child. I have since lost his information. I just hope to know who I look like and if I have any siblings.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
