A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Mississippi Who Chose To Be Featured
541. MeliOw : Parents were both married at the time of my birth.
Most of the family is located in southern part of USA. Give a little of the birthdate (not confirmed).
I’ve recently learned my bf passed away. I have met half sisters and an aunt. Since I last posted.
546. Mitchell51 : Born in the university hospital in Mississippi in August 1951.
Mother didn’t want me. I think my real name was Samuel Lee Mop. Not sure of spelling of Mop or if it was Mopp. I have a blood relative who is a first cousin who was traced back to Willie Mae Harris of Franklin county in Mississippi. I don’t know if I am related by his mother or his unknown father side. My blood cousin name is Larry Harris of Los Angeles, California. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
547. Mitchell51 : Born in the university hospital in Mississippi in August 1951. I have one blood relative that I have found thru DNA. His name Larry Harris of Los Angeles’s, California. I am either related to someone on his mother’s side. Her name was Willie Mae Harris of Franklin county Mississippi. Or on his unknown father’s side. I think my birth name was Samuel Lee Mop/Mopp. Any help is greatly appreciated.
548. Jasmdon : Through ancestry searching, my grandfather John Jay White I have found was adopted. I don’t know when but I believe his adopted parents were James White and his wife. I’m interesting in finding my lineage
549. Dsyeaton : We looked for decades for a missing cousin. We found his sibling several years ago via cousinconnect and him this year (2019) via DNA, about two weeks before their birth mother our aunt died.
She was born in 1960 and adopted in FL. He was born in 1958, adopted in CA, and lives in UT.
At our aunt’s funeral, neighbors told us that in her last months, she told them she had children. Three or four children. Neighbors have told us that the aunt (born 1936) became pregnant in high school (1950-1955 if this is true) or at age 17 (1953-1954 if this is true) and was sent to FL to have the baby.
We do not know much: mother’s maiden name, if listed: Anderson, birth state of mother: MA, she was very tall and thin, loved animals and dogs, Danish, German, English ethnicity. We have done DNA on ancestrydna and 23andme.
If this is you....or you think it could be you because part of the story matches...please do DNA testing so that we can see if we match!
And we are unsure why there were said to be: three or four children. Could it have been twins, which run in our family? Or is there another child with a different birth year and possible different birth and adoption state? These birth years are only guesses...it conceivably could have been any time after her birth in 1936 as maybe a teen (1949 or before?) to menopause (maybe before 1986?) but most likely in the 1950s or 1960s. Do any of these guesses for you or someone you know? We are a dozen cousins looking for decades!
552. Therock6250 : If you are a caucasian male adoptee born 1979 at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville‚ Washington County‚ Mississippi then please contact me.
I am the supposed father of a son born in 1979. My recollection of this is very faint as it was so long ago and the birh mother is giving absolutely no help.
My problem is I can’t remember the exact month... I was in 9th grade at the time so the birth year would have been between 1979.
The only information I know is the birth mother’s name which was CHILDRESS‚ a boy and he was born at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville‚ Mississippi.
Not much to go on and Mississippi adoption records are closed.
The birth mother was caucasion‚ rather short‚ approx. 5’ 2’ to 5’ 4" of stocky build and brown hair. Her family was average to short height.
I am caucasion‚ 6 feet tall‚ brown hair and eyes‚ slim build. My family members on both sides are usually rather tall.
554. DMarquisL : If you’re ready to meet‚ I’d really love to meet not only my mother but you’ll enjoy seeing my wife and your granddaughter as well. I don’t know if I have a father but I’d like to meet him as well and tell him I got married and let him know that he has a new granddaughter. Her name is Zynelle Renee Louie and she’s 5 years old. I’ve been looking since I turned 18 but I haven’t had any luck. If you’re reading this I want you to know that I don’t and will never hate you and if it’s ok I’d like to share moments and possibly build new ones as a family.
555. DerrickB : I was born in Chicago IL in cook county hospital. December 16,1981. I believe that my Birth name was Derrick Hood . My adopted parents are deceased now.
