A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Mississippi Who Chose To Be Featured
346. Vmiz1971 : I was born August 1971 and my adoption paperwork was finalized in November 1971.. My birth certificate says born in Harrison County, Mississippi no doctor, no hospital or city listed. The adoption paperwork was filed through Clara Hornsby in Biloxi, Mississippi. Mrs. Hornsby has passed away but even before she passed I contacted her office several times although no one ever responded. Both of my adopted parents have passed away and I was an only child. I’m searching for my birth father or any birth family that I may have. After 47 years I would love to finally meet them, only if they are willing. I have just recently discovered my birth mom although she wants nothing to do with me and will not give any information on my birth father.
350. LeDe : My mother was from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Her family wanted her to finish education and go to college. Private adoption in Meridian, MS.
353. Mageericky : My name is Ricky Magee. In 1983 or 1984, my then girlfriend, Jane Lee gave up our daughter without my consent. The only positive information that I have is that it was a girl born on Oct.11 in 1983 or 1984. I am not sure of what state that she was in when she gave the baby up. She lived in Mize, Ms. at the time of the pregnancy but left around the time of the birth.
355. Cchambers83 : I am looking for a lady who gave birth to twins (boy and girl) around July 28, 1983 in or around Jackson, MS. She may have been 23 years of age and at the time the twins were born she had other children as well that were older. The father of the adoptees may have been a DJ.
358. Moonbeam1988 : David lavon johnson 3rd born august 29,2008 at kings daughter s hospital in brookhaven Mississippi. Adopted by sister Lacey Roberts . Won’t let me have contact. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. Not sure what his middle and last name was changed to, but first name (David) remains the same. Last location was at 207 ave A in Brookhaven Mississippi.
359. Denali : My dad’s name was William Buckner Hodges III. He had 2 son’s with his 1st wife (name unknown) that were taken away from their mother somewhere between 1959-1965 and put in a home or foster care when they were a few years old. I know they were both born before 1959. This happened in Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, or possibly another state near these 3 states. They would be in their early or mid 60’s now I believe. My dad’s mothers name was Audrey Ward. My dad always referred to my brothers as Spud and Jim and I don’t know their real names. They were both adopted together I believe but I’m not really sure. All the information I have about my brothers came from my moma. My sister and I have always wondered about our brothers when we were growing up and we still wonder where they are and what they look like. Our father told us once when we were in our teen’s that he had tried to find our brothers and that the last he knew was they were living in California and that they had changed their names when they were adopted. How true that part is I’m not sure because it came from my dad. That’s all I know about my brothers and maybe that’s all my sister and I will ever know. But I really hope to know more about them and get to finally meet them.
Thank You,
Denali
360. Zabbiegirl78 : Looking for my half brother (related through my dad). My half brother was named Steven David (after our father) and his mother was Debbie or Deborah Mann. I was told that he was given up for adoption around the age of 2 years old‚ possibly to a distant family member. Deborah Mann has a sister named Deanna Mann. I was told that my half brother’s birth date would be around Sept 1976. I think my half brother was born in Utah but could be wrong. I have no other siblings and would love to find you!
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
