A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Utah Who Chose To Be Featured
1111. Ellawynnn : I am doing this search for my older siblings. I was told I have two of them, sisters. But, I have no way to know if the info I was given is actuate, since our mother has passed. She was named Susan Slack at the time she placed my siblings into adoption. I was told one was placed from an agency in Colorado and the other from a girls home in southern Utah. I don’t know much, just that now is the time.
1112. Ellawynnn : My name is Ellen. My mother, Susan Slack (at the time she gave birth) had two children. I was told they were both girls, although for some reason, my dad thinks the younger was a boy. I don’t know. I believe they were born in May 1967, and November 1968 or 1969. I have little to go on, except hazy memories of conversations overheard.
1114. MatthewGregory : Mother gave me up to a closed adoption. I was born in Ogden Utah. She has one picture of me as a child. IF thats you then please contact me.
1115. NessaKat71 : Male Born 3-31-1987 @ LDS Hospital in SLC Utah
Adoption handled by Children’s Aid Society SLC UT
To a local family.
Adoption took place first week of April 1987
1116. NessaKat71 : Baby boy born 3-31-1987 at LDS Hospital in SLC Ut
Adopted through Children Aid Society of SLC Utah
My name for you was Matthew.
Adopted by a local family.
Adoptive parents were professionals and were not Mormon despite being here in Utah.
1117. Bsudave : My first name is David, and I live in the salt lake area. All I know about the adopted boy is that the birth mother’s name was Ann Hubbard. She lived in las vegas nevada at that time. She said that our baby boy was named "Ben" and he was adopted by a family through LDS Family Services in Provo, Utah (I believe). I am unsure, but I seem to recall that his adoptive parents both were dentists or worked in the dental field, and it seems like they lived in Utah. I could be wrong about their professions, but I seem to recall that.
One thing that might help is knowing that Ann,the mother and I are both very tall. She is 6 feet tall or taller and I am 6’8" tall, so it is likely that he would also be quite tall.
That’s all the information I know. Hopefully it helps him find me, if he is so inclined. I have looked online to see if I can track down his birth mother to see if she has any information but she remarried during the time she was pregnant with him, I believe, so her last name has changed and we have had no contact since she called to tell me the little bit of information I shared here. I hope he has had a happy life and I just want him to know I think of him often and wonder about him.
I know he was born in April of 2004, but I am unsure of the date. Ann called me and said that she had delivered him "a.few weeks earlier" and that he was now with his new parents, so I don’t have anything more specific than April of 2004. It could even have been late March, but given the time frame that she and I were together,April seems most likely.
1119. Algiepowers : The male child was born in Alexandria, Louisiana.
The adopted parents received the child in Salt Lake City, UT, 3 weeks after the birth. The adoption was handled by LDS Social Services, an arm of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
1120. BrandonDouros : My name is Brandon Douros. My wife is Breanne. She was adopted and knew she was at a young age. She has always felt this whole in her heart of being unwanted. She has always felt closure would be a solution but is afraid to be “rejected” again. I understand the chances are slim to none. This is just my attempt to see if her biological mother would be willing to give a name and an opportunity for me to her name to my beautiful, loving wife. So if the rejections comes, she’ll know or feel even more rejected then she does from feeling unwanted. However, if not rejected, a hole that she has always had could be filled and giving the possibility of feeling truly happy with the simple truth of knowing
1122. Angel69127 : I am searching for my grandma’s oldest sister. She was born in Oregon in 1919 but I don’t know if that is where the adoption took place. Her birth mom’s family originated from Virginia or West Virginia. Her birth mom died July 6, 1919. The name on the records I’ve found show her birth name as Marie Lois Hodges.
1123. KirstenMaw : I am looking for my moms birth mom or dad. Her birth certificate states they are from Canada (in 1958) and her birth mother came to Utah to give her up for adoption through LDS family services. It would be a true miracle to connect with someone.
1124. Katgoa : I’m looking for my friend’s sister. All we know is that she has a sister out there somewhere. My friend was born in 1970‚ so her sister was probably born sometime before then. Their mom grew up in Nephi‚ UT‚ but she spent a lot of her life in the Salt Lake City area.
1125. FamilyMan777 : Her name was Tia Leeann Watson, but it might now be changed. She is 17 years old now. She was a year old when she and I were adopted separately.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
