497. DestineyRoseMartinez : Looking for a sibling who is searching for me. I am Destiney Rose Martinez Fisher who was born in Iowa City Iowa. My mom is Rachel Fisher and dad is Gonzalo Martinez.
498. Angelaxr7 : My brother was born on 7/2/1976 and was taken from my mom on 7/3/1976 as part of a black-market adoption ring common during that era in San Francisco‚ CA. The baby was taken from my 14 year old mom as she was a runaway at the time. She was released from the University of California San Francisco Hospital (San Francisco County). My mom was initially allowed to see the baby (left unattended in a portable crib by her hospital bed). The next morning‚ a hospital employee informed her that her baby had died. They would not allow her to see her baby again‚ and when she asked about the burial‚ the nurse told her it was against the rules and that her child would instead be buried in mass grave. They had her sign some form resembling a "contract" that she didn’t understand. A few years ago‚ I happened to cross paths with a retired RN who happened to work in the SF area during those years with her husband who was a physician. She was quite familiar with‚ and apologetic for‚ the unfortunate practice of black-market adoptions at those hospitals‚ during that era. She was a wealth of information and informed me that we are possibly looking for a child with a birth certificate filed within a few days of 7/2/76 with the generic name "Baby Boy" on the birth certificate. The retired RN I spoke with mentioned that the hospital staff would not have filed a false death certificate for these types of situations due to the legal implications of filing a false death record.
On May 27‚ 2022 - We confirmed with the vital records office in San Francisco that there is a certificate of live birth but no death record exists for my brother which confirms he did not die in the hospital on July 3‚ 1976 and that the hospital indeed lied.
499. Gilliam82 : Looking for a daughter my mom was forced to give up. I think she named her Bobby Jo. Possibly adopted into a Toothaker family. Mom’s name was Kelly Alexander. From the Harpswell‚ Phippsburg‚ Brunswick Maine area.

501. KenSleight : I believe she was born in a Bangor Maine Hospital‚ her Mother is Christy Sleight (Maiden name Maxwell). My name is Kenneth Sleight‚ I do not know her father.
502. KatieOlivera1337 : Born in Corbin‚ KY at a Baptist Hospital‚ was taken to adoption agency in unmarked car because boyfriend was trying to steal me‚ was given stuffed pink panther which I still have‚ Catholic Charities was the adoption agency‚ adopted family lives in Maine‚ they flew to KY to get me and stayed for a month‚ birth mother was incarcerated at the time of birth‚ possible last name for her Calhoun/Kalhoun? She had a drug abuse history‚ Foster parents names were Bert and Carol.
503. FrenchWhale56 : I am seeking my 1/2 sister. My mother‚ a 20 year old at the time‚ Albertine Albert‚ had her out of wedlock‚ I think back in 1946. My mother was living in Waterville/Winslow at the time. And went to Boston when pregnant to live with an Aunt‚ Julia. Can’t recall her last name. I don’t know the birth month or birth date‚ but I had to enter a month and date.....so disregard that information.
505. Amlmondoux : Helping a cousin find her sibling.
Birth initials WJL.
Birth was in Maine possibly the Lewiston area at CGMH. I’m assuming the adoption took place in Maine as well
506. Jen2action : My dad’s adoption took place in Biddeford ME I believe. That is where he was born in April‚ 2nd 1955. His name on birth certificate is Thomas Nikola Patev. He passed away in Nov of 2020 when he was 65. I’m looking to see if I have any family left. Thank you in advance.
Jennifer
508. Blmccar : The mother was from Harvey‚ ND and was very young. She was sent to a school in the Fargo‚ ND area for pregnant teens. Our sister would have been born in Fargo North Dakota. The year is kind of a guess.
The mother’s maiden last name is Michelson. The adoption may have taken place in Fargo‚ ND.
