A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Maine Who Chose To Be Featured
421. Sky2004 : I’m the mother to the adopted child’s half sister and I’m trying to help her locate her half brother. They obviously have the same father.
The adopted boy, Mason, was adopted shortly after his mother gave birth. She didn’t want a reminder of her affair with my husband (ex husband now). She told me she was giving Mason to her cousins whom lived outside of Illinois (where we all live) in a different state. I don’t remember the state she told me tho because that was 12-13 years ago.
I think my daughter deserves to know her one and only step sibling. And she wants to know him, too!
When college time comes along for both of them, I don’t want them to meet and fall in love and end up finding out too late that they are siblings. Mason’s mother, Mandy, shouldn’t want that either.
I think Mandy is afraid that if I find Mason, I will tell him about his real dad and what a narcissist he is and that Mandy doesn’t want her son to ever meet his birth father.
422. Sarahnelsin : I was adopted in June 1984 from New Delhi. The actual day I am unsure of. The only records we know our was adopted from the Catholic charities agency. I was adopted to a family in the United States. I am looking to find any family that I may have in India. I understand this may not be successful as there were no records from birth to the adoption agency (that I know of).
423. Diamondlil : Surname is King, living in upstate Maine in 1968 Birthplace in Portland, Maine. Mother was nursing student at the time. Adopted at 6 weeks of age. I believe Catholic Charities handled adoption
425. Sarah719 : My mom was adopted by her aunt and uncle. Her birth mother‘s name was Rachel Carey Rachel‘s brother Lloyd and his wife Josephine adopted my mom. My mom has no idea Who her biological father was what his name was or if it was ever on her original birth record.
427. DianeEvelyn : My mother, Evelyn Louise, was adopted sometime between her birth in 1922 and 1930, where I found her on a 1930 census with her adopted last name Quance.
I did find some evidence in her belongings that she was born in Lewiston, Maine. Also that her last name may have been Thomas, before that.
431. Angel69127 : I am searching for my grandma’s oldest sister. She was born in Oregon in 1919 but I don’t know if that is where the adoption took place. Her birth mom’s family originated from Virginia or West Virginia. Her birth mom died July 6, 1919. The name on the records I’ve found show her birth name as Marie Lois Hodges.

I am your half sister in Fl born 2001. Also looking for our brother Robert Smith born in 1999 in Fl. was adopted in Lake City, Fl. Only interested in finding the siblings. My name is Abygail.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
