A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within Maine Who Chose To Be Featured
376. Smbhall : I am looking for relations through my mother birth family. I did not know until I was in my twenties, after her parents had died, that my mother was adopted. I lived with my mothers parents, my grandparents, my whole life and did not know she was adopted. She told me she had been adopted when she was four years old.
377. Brittykg : I am looking for anybody who is looking for a birth mother. My aunt has a couple children that she has given up for adoption and we think there could be more. She gave birth in a couple different areas but grew up in Falmouth, Massachusetts. Her name is Patricia Kay Cone and she was born 4/15/1944. Her name before She got married was Peck
379. JasonVoorhees : My blood brother was born in the mid 90’s at Mercy hospital in Portland, Maine, to my mother Barbara Moore Crocket. He was immediately taken away by the state and put in foster care and eventually adopted and his last name changed and we never had any contact since then. I hope to find him one day because we are brothers and I would love to find my missing family and have them in my life! My DNA is online and listed on many genealogy sites and if you are or know who this could possibly be, please contact me and let me know. Thanks!
380. Jandksmall : I am looking for my brother who was put up for adoption before I was born. I believe he was born December 1978 either the 20th or 21st. The adoption was through St. Andres in Biddeford.
381. BekazFam : This is my father, & he’s still living He has just turned 70yrs on 10 June. He was born in Bangor Maine, then adopted shortly after birth.
We found the birth mother & have met her: Gertrude Tingly (later her married name was Bragdon). She has since passed away in Kentucky.
At the time she conceived my father she was having an affair w/ a married man. At the time she was living w/ her brother & already had a daughter named Merrideth.
Per her story her brother told her to "get rid of" my father or he would throw her & both children out on to the streets.
I’m interested in finding any relatives. I would like to learn more about my family history, but most important we would like to know about our medical history.
I would love to be able to meet & get to know any of my family. I would understand if that’s not something their willing to do, but I hope they would at least give me family information.
382. Klhab57 : I am looking for a sibling. My mother gave up a baby and think it was a girl but not positive. The baby was born during the week of Christmas 1969 at the hospital in Presque Isle, Maine. I also believe the adoptive parents may have been from New York and this was a private adoption.

389. Francie66 : Looking for information about who I am. Birth parents or siblings or friends of that family, anyone who can shed light on my origins. I am a female born September 9, 1966 in Augusta, Maine. The only information I have on my birth certificate is the attendants name, Lee W. Richards, Jr., M.D. and that I was adopted at 4 days old. The clerk who recorded the birth was Paul G. Poulin. My name is Frances.
390. Member328256 : I am looking for my half brother. I believe he was born in 1953. We have the same mother, Louise Thibodeau Larochelle. I was also adopted out at birth I have since located a sister in Maine. She told me about a brother, Alan Larochelle who was born in 1953( she thinks). His father would probably be listed as Arthur Larochelle.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
