She has 5 half siblings that would really like to meet her and share health concerns that she should be aware of. She was adopted by a couple from New York the man worked at a hospital as a radiologist? They named her Judy or Judith. It was a closed adoption.
165. AYates37 : My mother Anne Marie Lavigne aka Anne Marie Bolling was born in Portland, Maine we believe at Mercy Hospital on January 14, 1937 and was placed up for adoption by her mother Nellie Lavigne of Brunswick, Maine on the 23rd of June 1937. We know that her mother Nellie Lavigne Cloutier later lived at 77 Pleasant St, Brunswick. Her adoptive parents Leonard and Hazel Bolling lived in South Portland where she was raised and still lives. Her father’s name does not appear on any document but my grandmother researched everything and was told that his name was Isaac Dyer and he was a law student at Bowdoin College at the time of her birth. He passed his bar exam and was in the Portland Press Herald on February 5, 1943 getting sworn in.
My grandmother, Hazel Bolling, was always interested in finding her parents and even contacted Nellie Cloutier sometime in the 80’s but Nellie denied that she had a daughter and gave her up for an adoption and told my grandmother never to contact her again.
Nothing else has been done about researching this but I was told that the original birth certificate has her fathers name on it. We only have one from Augusta called a Notification of Birth Registration from the Department of Commerce.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
