A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within West Virginia Who Chose To Be Featured
991. Mkcehowski : My dad was born and given up for adoption in the 60s in west virginia. Unfortunately WV is a restricted state so he doesnt even gave his own original birth certificate. He doesnt know his birth name or the name given in the foster system‚ just his name from his adoptive parents. He was able to reconnect with his birth mother’s family through some lucky coincidence many years ago‚ but they wouldn't tell him too much‚ and his birth mother had already passed away years prior. He doesnt know his birth father‚ and along with his birth mother passing away‚ since then his maternal grandparents and 2/3 of his birth mother’s siblings have passed on. Id like to be able to find as much info for him and for myself‚ along with important health/death info since i have a lot of severe health issues/chronic disabilities with no known cause. I hope to maybe someday find out the name of my paternal grandfather and reconnect with family ive never gotten the privilege of knowing.
992. RebekahxFree : Hi! I am looking for my brother Matthew Freeman‚ He has one sister and 4 brothers‚ I am his sister. his mother is Denise Havens and his fathers name is Randal Freeman.
993. Samantrix1989 : I am Richard Marinaro...before being adopted my name was Thomas Clarence James and all I remember is being dropped at a fire station around the age of 5 or 6 and they never came back for me.
994. BPSMITH2 : I was born in Wheeling‚ WV‚ and was adopted (I think) through Methodist Hospitals and Homes‚ West Virginia Conference. My birth mother may have lived in Maryland or West Virginia. I am hoping to find my birth mother and/or siblings in order to seek my family medical information. I am a mother and a grandmother and would like to pass this information to my children. Thank you!
997. Searching4Family613 : Twins girls were born 10/3/1980 in Putnam Co.‚ WV. Lovingly looking for birth parents‚ if not for a relationship‚ to at least get needed medical information for still growing family.
998. Searching4Family613 : I am looking for a baby given up for adoption. The parents were married‚ but the birth mother’s mother picked her up from their home and the baby they had been expecting was put up for adoption. We are not sure of a birth date‚ but we think it was December of 1965. We are not sure of the sex but heard it was a boy.
999. Kayllahope : I was adopted at age 3 along with two other biological siblings. One was my twin sister McKenna. The other one was my brother Zachary‚ which I do believe his name was either’s Steven or his middle name was Steven before the adoption. I remember at a young age my adoptive parents‚ Ronald and Veronica Grant set us kids down and showed us an article in the newspaper about our biological dad passing away of a drug overdose and we were living in Buckhannon wv at the time so it had to be from somewhere near. Just a couple months after they close adoption was lifted. We found out who our biological mother was Wanda Gibbons‚ but it was only a couple weeks after that that she died of cancer back in 2014.
Every time I’ve ever asked about him he’s just known as the drug addict who didn’t care about us‚ but I refuse to believe that’s all there was to him. Sadly every “drug addict” gets a terrible name that seems to haunt them the rest of their lives‚ even if they do change their lives around and people don’t care to realize why and what the reason was… this is coming from an “addict” myself and so was our biological mother. I’d like to find out more about him‚ and if he has any living relatives‚ I can get in touch with.
1000. BarbG70 : Looking for my mother’s bio family! She use to be Katherine l Graves before adoration to Ruth Jackson and Charles Richman.
My mom has passed but I promised to keep searching !
1002. Nannac63 : I'm looking for my birth mother I know her name is Dora Yates‚ I do not know who the father is I did have my adoption papers years ago but I lost them and it said whoever the father may be so we don't even know. I was born in Williamson memorial hospital Williamson West Virginia. I was adopted out to ollie and Narm Farrell or as others would know my adopted mom her real name was Rose Lee Ferrell
1004. Amandaowilson : I was adopted from Wheeling Hospital in December 1976. I had a closed adoption‚ I was adopted a little after birth maybe 3 months old give or take. I got some of my family history when I turned 40 from my adopted parents‚ I have known since I was little that I was adopted. I know that my mother was est. 30-40's and a school teacher and my father same age was a mechanic. I have 3 sibilings that I know of but do not know if I have brothers or sisters or both. I am almost 50 and have always wondered about my birth family and what life was like and what my parents were like. Also I know very little about my medical history so that would be awesome to know. I know my adoption was finalized around 1977.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
