A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within West Virginia Who Chose To Be Featured
166. AdirondackLady : I am seeking a female adoptee born in Houston‚ Texas‚ on or around September 30th‚ 1974 or 1975 or 1976 (we are assured the birthday is 1975 but some claims have been made about birth certificates being tampered with). She was given up to Catholic Charities. Is any of this a potential match please feel free to contact. Maternal family are wishing to reconnect. DNA will be up on Ancestry of a sibling.
168. CatherineD : I was born on October 20, 1989. I was adopted the next day. I born at 8:05 AM at CAMC - Women and Children’s Hospital in Charleston, WV. The doctor that signed my birth certificate is Pearcy Thompson
170. Amact6 : My father’s name is Frank PIllitterri and he attended James Monroe HS in NYC. Nickname at that time was "Chicky"
I am looking to connect with any of his family members or him.
174. Blair15 : My name is Delorean Blair I am 19 years old from Terre Haute Indiana. Back in about 2002-2003 my mother April Mcgregor was incarcerated and she was pregnant. We lived in Indiana but they shipped her off to Alderson West Virginia to serve her sentence. When she had the baby in prison it’s never really been talked about as to why she did it but she gave her up for adoption. I’m sure when you’re in prison pregnant and all of your family is thousands miles away and you have a lot going through your brain so the possibilities and the assumptions are endless but I’m just not sure exactly what to pinpoint. The child is closest in age with myself we couldn’t be anymore than a year or year and a half apart. As far as I know her name could be Jaylin and she was born in February sometime of anywhere between 2003/2004 not sure which. I don’t have many details at all and it is a really long shot but when you’re in desperate situations you do desperate things. I’m not even sure if she knows there is a sister out there looking for her and wondering about her I’m not even sure if she does know of a birth family and just doesn’t want to seek anyone like we do her . But it’s worth a shot and I would be absolutely thrilled to get a match and possibly find my little sister .
176. KaitlynHathaway : Looking for my older brother. My father was in the Air Force and his girlfriend in the states got pregnant. She was a freshman in college so she placed the baby for adoption and didn’t tell him. She named him William Michael at birth. She wouldn’t tell my dad any details so could have been born in Pennsylvania where she attended college or back home in West Virginia. Possibly ‘83 or ‘84 depending on conception.
178. Gretchenloftus : The name I was given at birth was Gretchen Loftus. According to the adoption decree, my birth mother is named Elizabeth Dianne Loftus. No father’s name was listed. I was born July 10, 1968 in Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia. I’m trying to locate my birth mother or any siblings I may have.
179. Helpmefindgrandma : My mother and father are both adopted. As an adult who is now a mom, I want to find the missing pieces and connect them to better understand who I am, and share it with my child. My mother has recently opened up about the emotional distress she went through all of her life after finding out she was adopted.. and had wanted to make contact. She has so many answers, and with the passing of her adopted mother, the subject is now more urgent. Please help. We just want to know where we came from.
180. Annieb11483 : According to my adopted parents I was born at a hospital in Clarksburg, WV on January 14th 1983. My parents picked me up from the hospital on January 16th 1983. I was informed that my birth mother was in her early 20’s and that she worked as a nurse or nurses aid in the hospital that I was born.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
