318. Ferntuck : I’m only guessing that the adoption took place in West Virginia. It could have also been any of the surrounding states (Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, Maryland, or Pennsylvania). I know that my brother is bi-racial (African-American and white) and, if he has accessed his birth records, his mother’s name is either JoAnne Berkley or Helen JoAnne Berkley. She told me that she called the baby Sean/Shawn, so I have no idea if that would be on his birth certificate. I hope you’re on here and that I can find you!
320. Hesedmedia : I was adopted in 1986, only a few days after I was born. I’ve been told my birth mother was a college student who kept her pregnancy secret until her roommate discovered her in labor in her dorm room. She and my biological father were in a band together in college. I believe his name is Robert Gray, although that could be incorrect. My birth mother wished to maintain some form of contact, writing letters I believe, but my adoptive mother did not allow it via the agency. I believe the agency to have been Methodist-affiliated. I believe my birth mother’s first name to be Margaret.
321. August29th2001 : Michael Christopher Chalfant Jr. is my original name, but my adoptive name is Kris Michael Obeldobel, I am searching for my biological birth parents. I was born in Wheeling West Virginia, on August 29th, 2001. My father’s name is Michael Christopher Chalfant, my mother’s name is Elisabeth Ann Chalfant.
323. Bs01birs : I was personally born in Morgantown, WV. My biological mother was born there as well. I have 4 older siblings, probably between the ages of 18 and 24. My biological mother was on methamphetamine, marijuana, crack, and smoked cigarettes. My dad was sent to prison in 2001 for burning someone’s house down.
324. TomB120 : Missed out growing up with a sibling whom I could bond with looking to hopefully get that connection with my brother before we get too much older.

328. Hlupo : Born Nashville TN - my biological mother was Jacqueline Marie Haynes. I’ve been told my fathers name was Randall Stone, but I’m not sure how accurate that is.
329. DSJ24 : I was born in Huntington, West Virginia at Gunther Hospital. My adoptive parents were Ed and Bernice Southall. Through Ancestry, I suspect one of my parents is in the Fields family.
I think I was adopted in West Virginia, but was told it could have happened in Florida as my adoptive parents were living there at the time.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
