Victoria Adoption Reunion Registry

Adopted.com is proud to offer a country-wide Adoption Reunion Registry for Australia where you can meet by mutual consent whether you've accessed your adoption records or not. From Perth to Brisbane and everywhere in between, if both parties want to meet then you can find each other on Adopted.com! In Victoria, adult adoptees (18 and over) are able to obtain access to identifying information including their original birth certificate, court and agency records. Those wishing to obtain access to information must also participate in a mandatory interview, which can take place in person or over the phone in the case that the adoptee lives overseas. As of July 1, 2013, birth parents are also able to obtain identifying information regarding the adopted child.

618. AdrienneRae88 : I am looking for a sibling that was born and adopted many years before my sister and I were born. We found out about this child from discussion with our extended family. We are unsure when‚ or where the baby was born‚ but the birth mother’s name is Barbara Baumann‚ and she was born in Dec 1960. We believe the birth and adoption would have taken place sometime between the years of 1975-1987. I am unsure of the name of biological father’s name as it was not the same as my biological father. We have been told the baby was a male‚ however‚ we are unsure.

624. Fiona_Jackson : I’m searching for children of Brian Jackson aka Brian Lake. Lived in Melbourne Australia‚ but he traveled a lot from what I’ve been told. It sounds like he was the Oprah of sperm - you have some‚ and you have some‚ and you have some‚ but didn’t stick around for the responsibility part. Children would have been born from maybe 1965 onwards. So far we are three with knowledge of a definite one more but doubt it stopped there.

627. AnneGreenall1945 : My mother’s name was Anne Greenall (born 27/12/1945) had a son when she was 17 (1963?) that she adopted‚ possibly from Berry Street. However‚ they had no registry of mum being there. I have filled out a form with AIS but not heard back you. I believe mum met with her son in the early 2000s but we didn’t learn about our half brother until a month ago. Mum passed away in 2020.
