Adopted.com is proud to offer a country-wide Adoption Reunion Registry for Australia where you
can meet by mutual consent whether you've accessed your adoption records or not. From Perth
to Brisbane and everywhere in between, if both parties want to meet then you can find each
other on Adopted.com!
In Victoria, adult adoptees (18 and over) are able to obtain access to identifying information
including their original birth certificate, court and agency records. Those wishing to obtain access
to information must also participate in a mandatory interview, which can take place in person or
over the phone in the case that the adoptee lives overseas. As of July 1, 2013, birth parents are
also able to obtain identifying information regarding the adopted child.

496. MickColes : My mother gave up a boy at birth. He was born around Aug/Sep/Oct/Nov 1958. The doctor delivering was based in Glen Ira Melbourne Victoria (South eastern suburbs)‚ probably a doctors surgery rather than a medical centre. Adoption was organised by the doctor.
498. Zapatista03 : Searching for my birth father.
I was conceived in Victoria‚ birthdate is 16 July‚ 1984.
My birth mother told me that she didn’t know my birth fathers name (was given a fake) and that there is no way to find him. My birthmothers name is Helene Jovanovich.
Not looking for anything other than genetic information as I have just had children and medical history and information would be greatly appreciated.
500. Michnana72 : I’ve found my father by dna.
But had his dna put under his daughters name. And he is not well and my half siblings are asking me to wait another couple of months.
501. HelenaHubert : I may have been adopted in NSW also through a church. Father is from USA and was in Vietnam‚ with rests in Sydney.
I may be a twin.
I went to Melbourne as a baby.
504. Scotty999 : Hi sis‚
I’m Scott. As you may know‚ I am your twin! I was born with severe Cerebral Palsy (I’m a quadraplegic)‚ blind and I don’t speak‚ but I can hear and understand everything going on around me‚ and I’m smart and fun. I live with my sister‚ Julienne‚ in Berwick and I would really really like to connect with you. We will not be invasive or ask anything of you‚ just want to connect with my twin sister‚ and find out if you are ok‚ and let you get to know me if you would like.
505. SharneS : The above child was possibly born at Burwood Community Hospital or Mena House in Victoria. Birth Notice in Newspaper read /
SCOTT (Mackey) 21 November 1957 at Burwood Community Hospital. Stillborn‚ a son. To Doug and Aileen.
Researching family history indicates that the baby was possible taken to a Catholic Convent by my Maternal Grandmother and simply handed over at the door.
509. Ardyn : My mother (Moyra Ahern) was a single girl aged 22 and lived in the residence for unwed mothers opposite the old Royal Women’s Hospital. In saying this‚ she did wear a wedding ring which l wear today. The father’s name was Ken (don’t know his surname but he was Polish). She delivered at the RWH. She had a girl and named her ‚ Kerrie-Anne (unsure how she spelt her name. I believe the baby was adopted by a ? minister & his wife in Melbourne. Mum was able to take the baby to this family she told me. Mum was from a farm community near Minyip in Victoria but was a school teacher in Ballan‚ Victoria. Mum was never good with dates‚ so the 10th may not be 100% accurate. If you could assist me in my search for my sister l would be eternally grateful.
510. Jenniferlouiseboxall : I believe that my birth mother’s name is/was Fotini Zisopoulou and she was 31 years old when I was born at the Royal Women’s hospital in Carlton and I was named Georgia at birth. She lived at 25 Euston Street‚ Hughesdale prior to giving birth - I believe that was her brother’s house.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
