Adopted.com is proud to offer a country-wide Adoption Reunion Registry for Australia where you can meet by mutual consent whether you've accessed your adoption records or not. From Perth to Brisbane and everywhere in between, if both parties want to meet then you can find each other on Adopted.com! In Victoria, adult adoptees (18 and over) are able to obtain access to identifying information including their original birth certificate, court and agency records. Those wishing to obtain access to information must also participate in a mandatory interview, which can take place in person or over the phone in the case that the adoptee lives overseas. As of July 1, 2013, birth parents are also able to obtain identifying information regarding the adopted child.

My mother and family had said I would loose all family connections if i kept Christopher ...I did recieve 1 photo graph from the adopted family..I have tried to contact him through Catholic adoption agency several times..and recieved correspondence saying"he was not interested at this time" He would now be 44 in July 2021 my heart breaks as I yearn to see him, just once in my life time...I think of him every day,

50. Juliedonelly : I know her first name is Margaret and his last name Derbyshire. I don’t know if she or he is still alive or dead‚ I don’t know if she or he is still in Australia. And I don’t know if this is her or his real name. I have legal documents with her name on them but she could of given a false name. Apparently she was 21 years old when she had me and that she came from South Australia to Melbourne to give birth and then return home.
51. Lisac78 : I was born 20.12.1978 in Melbourne. My mother and father were young and decided to adopt my twin brother and I out at birth. My twin brother Anthony was re-adopted out as my Mum and Dad discovered he had severe disabilities as a result of cerebral palsy. I grew up in Riddells Creek with my older brother‚ grandparents and parents. I know my biological Mother wished my twin and I to be adopted together. We were but it got too much for my parents and they made an extremely difficult decision to have Anthony go to a family that could give him excellent care.

56. Dunlop : My daughter was born in St Kilda in 1966 and I have not been able to contact her since she was adopted very soon after birth. Mother moved to New Guinea for a few years and I have lost track of her too. Would love to know if Sarah (?) is happy and has had a good life. I was told her given name is Sarah but this could easily have been changed.
