A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within South Dakota Who Chose To Be Featured
511. CLivingston : I am helping my husband‚ Cash Livingston‚ search for his biological mother. He was adopted at birth in Rapid City‚ SD by the Livingston family from east Texas. Cash was born July 28‚ 1994 in Rapid City. We have located his biological father‚ DeWayne Griffith‚ and we believe his mother's name is/was Bonnie Dickey‚ but we do not know if this is her maiden name‚ if it has changed‚ or where she is originally from. Cash's adoption was coordinated or assisted by a friend of his adoptive family named Vicki Tomlin‚ also from east Texas. We believe Bonnie Dickey has a daughter born 2-3 years prior to Cash's birth in 1994‚ who was not placed for adoption. Cash has always been curious about his biological mother and who she is‚ and would also like to know about family medical history.
513. Adopted1970steve : I HAVE VERY LITTLE TO GO ON. I was born in North Dakota in Aug. 1970 was given up for adoption. I was born with a extra thumb on each hand that required surgery within a year of birth. I KNOW THAT MY BIRTH mother was married at the time I was born and she did have other children that she cared for and she did give up one or more other children for adoption prior to my birth. I believe she may have had a total of 5 kids prior to 1970 when I was born. if anyone knows anything please reach out to me.
516. Schneidermike12 : Hello. I was adopted out through Catholic charities in 1966. In the detailed narrative the organization provided me of my birth mother (deceased‚ 2015) and information from her biological family‚ she gave up a child for adoption sometime in her late teens and was sent from South Dakota to a Catholic home for unwed mothers/girls somewhere in Montana… not sure if the baby (a boy) would have been adopted into a family in Montana or in neighboring states. Her name was Rose Mary DeLeo (née Quinn).
518. Mheidinger : Male child born at St John's hospital in rapid City South Dakota‚ adopted through Lutheran social services in South Dakota. Very fair skinned with almost white hair and blue eyes at birth also had a red birthmark that ran down the middle of his face and would turn exceptionally red when he was crying. ( This faded away completely by the time he was a year old )
Now stands over 6 ft tall and is a large Boned man.
We took him home when he was approximately 2 weeks old.
519. Thennis : He was born in Sioux Falls SD at McKennan Hospital. I think the Doctors name was Assam. The adoption agency was Lutheran Social Services. He had to have surgery because of something with his kidneys. His age now would be 53.
520. Wickedtribe766994 : Looking for my older brother‚ whom I’ve never met. You were born between 1965-70. Likely adopted out of Tennessee or Illinois‚ but I am not positive. Your maternal birth mother’s last name is Heckmann. She named you Patrick‚ though that may not be your name today. Her family was very Catholic. You were likely born in the convent she sent to during her pregnancy. If this sounds like you‚ message me!
521. MarthaJerome : The mothers name is Anne Graves and my name is Thomas Jerome the baby was born in Pierre South Dakota on on March 28th? her mother named her Elizabeth Anne.
It was supposed to be an open adoption‚ but I wrote to the adoptive parents‚ and they replied that their daughter was doing fine‚ and basically not to contact them anymore. I don’t know why the change of heart‚ because I never did anything or said anything that should’ve made them think that I meant nothing but the best for her. I’ve only want the best for her. I was the one that picked them out of a portfolio because her mother didn’t want to ring to do with it so I hope I did the right thing and pick them as her parents.
522. DavidGulbranson : My name is David Juan Ramon Gulbranson. My birth name was David Juan Ramon Burgos. My father's name is Nestor (Ned) Fidel Burgos and and my mother's name was Elizabeth (Liz) Mae Skidmore. I was born in Bethesda‚ Maryland in 1975. My younger brother‚ Michael was born in Baltimore‚ Maryland in 1977. We also lived in Gaithersburg‚ Maryland Rockville‚ Maryland Silver Springs‚ Maryland Frederick‚ Maryland and in Los Angeles County‚ California. My father also lived in Pennsylvania‚ Florida‚ and New Hampshire. My mother also lived in Dothan‚ Alabama‚ where she passed away February 18‚ 2003. I last saw my mother in 1982/1983. My mother's sister‚ Ann Farrell (nee Skidmore) told me that my mother told her that she named my sister Ann and gave her up for adoption. My mother had two more children with a man named Rodney Bolin. I do not know them. I hope to find my sister‚ to know her‚ to love her‚ to be a part of her life. I always wanted a little sister. I am married with five children of my own and my brother‚ Michael is married with two children. I have DNA on Ancestry.com.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
