A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within New Hampshire Who Chose To Be Featured
166. Crisleem : I’m doing the research, I am not the family member. The searcher is the niece of the adoptee.
Birth mother: Odette Marie Theresa O’Brien. Her maiden name was Andrea but at the time of this birth, Odette was divorced and likely still using the last name O’Brien. She later married and became Odette Haskell. Odette was born 09 May 1926 in Nancy, Lorraine, France. She passed away in 2006. Her older daughter was 16 at the time this child was born. That daughter’s name was Nancy O’Brien, born 1946, also in Nancy, France. She too has passed away. The niece believes the child could have been adopted anywhere throughout the New England area but the family lived in Livermore Falls, Maine at the time. But frequently were in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. According to Odette’s sister, who is still living but in her 90s, the child was born in the Spring of 1962 but she can not remember the actual date. No one knows the name of the father. It was simply said that he was a divorced man from the area. The searching niece as done a DNA test on 23andme.com only.
168. Loraina : He was born in West Virginia, but I don’t know where he was adopted. Adoption Services in Camp Hill PA might have been involved. I just sent in an Ancestry DNA test. Anyone looking should consider taking one or more DNA tests.
169. Paturnbu : Looking to see if my mother was adopted. No birth record available in town she claimed to be born in. My mother passed in September of 1977. Looking for geneological reasons
172. AlisonAnne1969 : looking for Jewish male birth father who met my birth mother summer of 1968 in either NH or MA.
He would be now in his mid 70’s. Last name not sure but would have relatives that were klicksteins or Magnus and from the MA area
176. Cassandrashea63395 : Her name is Sherry A Willmer, state she was adopted in is currently unknown but She was adopted into a family in NH. This is her biological daughter looking for my biological grandparents.
178. Sgoslant : The mother was Florence Whiting. My name on the pre-adoption birth certificate I believe was Scott Allen Whiting. I’m seeking my twin sister with a name of Terri or Terry Lynn. We were born in Concord, New Hampshire on November 4, 1968 in Concord hospital.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
