1161. Stubberfield : On January 15‚ 1966 in the Royal Alex Hospital in Edmonton Alberta I delivered a baby girl which I named Natalie Marie Stubberfield
1162. EmmalineRebecca : The adopted girl was born on November 20‚ 2004‚ in Edmonton Alberta. She has been in contact with her birth mom and half-sister within the last year. She only knows the name of her birth father. His name is Andrew and he is a Jamaican. The last bit anyone heard he was working for a gravel company in the Edmonton area.
1163. Jamie1984 : Hi I’m looking for my sister who was born Dec 10 1983 by the name Betty Lynn ryder I know she was adopted and her name was changed to Elizabeth Anne charolette schell she was born in Edmonton Alberta
1164. J-Cart : I’m searching for two siblings — one half-sibling and one full-sibling. Unfortunately‚ I don’t know their genders‚ birthdates‚ or many other details. What I do know is that our mother is Dayna Anne Bindert‚ and I believe they were born in Edmonton‚ Alberta‚ sometime in the 1990s.
I’ve always had the feeling that a part of me was missing. Now that I finally have confirmation of their existence‚ I’m reaching out in hopes of finding them.
1168. WelovefamilyMyStory : My father was born at the Royal Alexander Hospital in Edmonton‚ Alberta. His birthday was March 22‚ 1949. He was a beautiful baby boy with curly dark hair and dark eyes.
He was adopted by my grandparents who are both now deceased. Allister Marr Cruickshank and Madeline Cruickshank (formerly McLaren). They had another boy who they also adopted and he was older than my father.
I am not sure if his biological family knew his adoptive parents. The story I heard from a family member was that his biological mother was a teacher and that his biological father was a truck driver. I do not know if they were married or their names. I was told that the father was in an accident and passed away during the pregnancy and she decided to put my father Richard Alexander Cruickshank up for adoption.
I am not sure if he was named by the biological parents or if he was named by my grandparents. His middle name Alexander is the name of my grandfather’s father. Cruickshank is my maiden name.
I am also not sure where his biological parents were from. Just because he was born in Edmonton doesn’t mean his parents were from here.
The earliest photo that I have of my father he is sitting up and looks to be about 1 year old. So I am not sure when the adoption took place. I have never seen his birth certificate or know if he had a copy. Sadly he passed away in 2015 so I am unable to ask these questions.
I have done DNA tests and I have matches from my paternal side on Ancestry. This makes me wonder about that side of the family and where they were from. His family is part of my story and I would like to know more if possible.
Thankyou for your time and best wishes on your search.
Shauna (daughter of Richard)
