My father was adopted. He was born May 30, 1961. He was place at the Edmonton adoption agency a number of months after birth. It’s believed his name could have been Barry Stevens. He would be turning 59yrs of age.
His birth mothers name was unknown but was 19yrs old 78yrs now. His father was possibly a business man in Edmonton. No other information was given.

I believe the adoption was handled by the Sisters of St. Francis R.C. Order of Nuns at the time. The placement was likely Alberta but we cannot be sure about this either.
The birth Mother was 28 years of age at the time of birth and I believe the child was baptized with a given name starting with an M. Mother’s surname was Scherger (now passed away) on birth certificate but not certain). I have no information on the adoption but I do have personal information for this adoptee and would be willing to meet or make contact respectfully on terms specified by the adoptee if so desired (Discretion assured if a concern). She passed away in 2012 and no one in her family knows who the father was. They didn’t even know for sure that she had a baby in 1943 and gave him up for adoption.
