603. Jocmc : Patrick Sean Mills was delivered by Dr. McTavish at the Concordia General Hospital on Desalaberry‚ in Winnipeg on October 1‚ 1969. He was circumcised in hospital and got an infection from the procedure therefore was unable to be adopted at birth. He was in a Winnipeg Foster Home through Children's Aid until January or February of 1970 when he was finally adopted. I have a cherished photo of him in his foster home at age 3-4 months of age.

My birth mother is deceased and prior to her death refused to provide me with my birth father's name. What I do know is he used to live or hang out on Winnipeg Avenue.
He may have been a student at the U of M? I believe he was raised by his grandparents. There was a reference to the grandparents living in the east coast of Canada. Have some very general info from the Post Adoption Registry here in Winnipeg.
Have had no luck with the Post Adoption Registry. Have done my DNA and no close matches have shown up.

She was 19 years old when my father was born or was when she chose to put him up for adoption. I was also told she was a waitress.

Birth mother named me Renee Diane but name was changed. Birth father was of Italian heritage‚ birth mother was German/Danish. It was a teen pregnancy..not sure what information my biological father was given. Manitoba Child & Family services located my birth mother in 2004 but she didn't want contact with me. In 2004 she was living somewhere on West coast. I have 2 boys..one born with a serious congenital defect in 2004 so would like to know more about my medical background.

My cousin was born November 27‚ 1956 at the Women's Pavillon in Winnipeg and was given the name at birth of Clare June Martin. Adoption took place in Portage La Prairie ‚ Mb at the Children's Aid.
Her birth mother was from Glascow‚ Scotland and emigrated to Canada in about 1955. She also was a widow with a 7 year old son at the time of Clare's birth.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
