256. EllaMR : My name is Ella‚ my dad was born in Brandon‚ Manitoba‚ in Mid February 1966‚ and he has never searched for his biological family‚ but I have! I want to meet my cousins and learn about my different cultures‚ I think that everyone should have the right to know where they come from if they want!
Also I would like to learn about my family’s medical history‚ only to know what medical risks I should look for in the future.
Sincerely
E
259. SusanL50 : I am trying to find Janet Leigh Zimmer - entered adoption home September 28/62 and adoption to be completed September 28/63. At the time she entered the adoption home she had an adopted brother aged 2. Our family receiver a note from a Miss Fraser (dated December 27/62) of the children’s aide society and also had a phone call from a Miss Keough (also December 27/62) of the child welfare. Our family fostered this little girl for(her mother) a family friend for over 2 years and could not adopt due to medical issues in our family and we would like to pass on her early photos if possible. As she will have no baby photos of herself.
260. BethGreenhorn : My sister and I are looking for our half-sibling or siblings. Our mother, Beverley June Varney gave birth to one and possibly two children before we were born. She probably had one baby in Toronto and the other in Winnipeg. Both children were given up for adoption. We think one of the babies was a boy named Christopher. We know the father was black - possibly Jamaican or from another Caribbean country. We are not sure but think if there was a second baby it was a girl. Our mom married our father in 1961, so the births probably took place between 1955-1960. Our mother passed away in 2005. We wish we had asked her more about these pregnancies and adoptions.
264. Jeremylindsay : Hello im looking for the son of my great grandmother. She was born in either Allan or Scott, Saskatchewan, she got pregnant around 14 and would have given birth around 1943. She moved to Winnipeg for work as a teenager so I’m unsure if the baby was born in Saskatchewan or in Manitoba. Ive been told his name might have been David. His mother is Elizabeth “Betty” Senger
265. Trevorjensen : Jackie Hemphill / Anderson was the mother, Kevin jensen was the father. They were 16-17 in Winnipeg Manitoba. Looking for half brother or sister. Adopted at birth. Jackie Hemphill daughter name is Madison.
267. Ejury : I am searching for surviving Family on behalf of my father born in Winnipeg to polish parents in 1948. His parents were unwed at the time of his birth but were married in 1950. Father had red hair.
269. Adopted3234 : DAVID TYLER MATTHEW SMITH
I am looking for a little boy that I had in my care for 2 years (from his birth) his name was David Tyler Matthew Smith (born to Cheryl Smith of Winnipeg Manitoba). I was going to adopt this little boy until his birth mother decided to do a private adoption. David was either born in 1979 or 1980. He was adopted out North of Selkirk area to a family that had daughters (possible twin girls) and wanted a boy.
270. Adopted3234 : CHILDREN born to EMMA NANCY POSSIA, MONKMAN, THOMAS, LEDUC or PARISIEN (you may have any of those last names if you were born to her.
I have found most of my siblings (17) so far, but I believe there are far more children out there that I have not found yet. She had babies pretty much every year. I know in my heart there will be some more of my family out there. I am still looking for Ronald Leduc as he was adopted to a family in Regina, Saskatchewan. He would be born in 1951 as Deloris was born in 1950 and he was a year later. He was or is still a teacher in Regina area. He has a sister Deloris Leduc whom now lives in BC. I would be his 1/2 sister (same moms different dads)
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
