My birth mother was 26 yrs old at the time of my birth. She was born in 1954 and was married at the time she became pregnant with me. My birth father was born in 1957 in Manitoba. My birth father worked as a waiter at a hotel in winnipeg manitoba between July of 1980 and March of 1981. My birth father identified himself as metis and Scottish and had one brother and five sisters. My birth mother was adopted by a couple in BC in 1958.

I am looking for my dad’s birth parents. He was born along with his twin brother at Calgary General Hospital on August 13th‚ 1975. We do not know anything about their birth family and they were adopted twice‚ once at birth and again at 9 months old and were adopted in Manitoba. Their names were Shawn/Shaun/Sean and Casey‚ but not sure if that was their birth names or the ones given to them in the first adoption.
506. SmithofNB : I am wanting to know if my grandmother was adopted to Albert and Maud Mary Henton (the 1921 Canada census has misspelled Henton as Hinton. I know because all first names of family are correct) My Grandma’s name was Kitty Esther Henton. When she was 6 (in the census) they lived in Neepawa‚ sub District 27‚ Birnie‚ Range number 15‚ Municipality Rosedale‚ house number 220. They owned the house. (Meridian Number W1‚ Parish or Township 17. Unfortunately i dont know her exact birth day and month yet. They were a part of the church of England.

The mother was forced by her mother to go to a catholic convent of some sort so that no one would know she had the child. He was in a orphanage for the first 3 Mos of his life.
