A Few of Our Members Currently Searching Within New Mexico Who Chose To Be Featured
631. Lesley76 : My Mother was born at the Cradle House in Sante Fe NM so we were told. It is not traditional for a native child to be given up. There is a lot of mystery surrounding my Moms birth, even to the fact that the Nuns hide her from the authroities. However I do not believe there was a Nun presence at the Cradle Home, though I couldn’t be sure, they probably worked close with the Sisters. Also I do not understand how she was adopted unless the Cradle Home did adoptions. WOW 1953 buy a baby business. My Mothers story has always been on the hush hush. I believe My Mother is from one of the Native people from Northern NM, but it just isn’t the Native people to give a child away or sell one. I just do not know. We need answers for medical reasons, and for peace.

645. Per.Fred.A : STEVE‚ you were adopted through the Catholic adoption agency. Didn’t know that I had a child until for about 15 years after the fact. The adoption most likely happened in SD through the Catholic adoption agency. I believe that baby was a male with a possible name of Steve (not confirmed) I worked for her dad on a farm within 15 miles from Parkston‚ we developed a relationship I was 20 or 21 mother was 16 or younger.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
