467. Lost68shariah : Hi, I was born then taken and put into other care in New Mexico. I am reaching out to anyone who can help I dont know my own Native Culture because I was stripped from it when I was adopted out of NewMexico. I am in search of where I came from. Please fine me.
474. Odysseus138 : Hello my son was born in Albuquerque, N.M. on November 4th, 1982. He was born at Presbyterian Hospital. My parents were allowed to be there for his birth and they said he was a beautiful boy resembling me. I think of him everyday of my life. He will be 37 this coming November. He was given up for adoption without my permission. His mother’s parents sued me to remain away from his mother until after he was born and given up for adoption. I have been searching for 37 years. I myself was adopted and am hoping he was provided a loving family as did I. I’m successful in business and life and have been praying that someday we will be reunited. Thanks to adopted.com for providing a platform to hopefully facilitate a reunion. Thank you greatly, Robert Smith
478. Judymanson777 : Looking for biological family of my Grandfather John Laurence MacKown (passed away) that was adopted I believe in CA (not sure) by David D. and Mary V Harrison-MacKown. His birth place is shown on 2 different census taken and stated place of birth as New Jersey and also Artesia, CA
479. Paulaellsworth : I am searching for a sister that my father had when he was 18 ...he did not know about her until she was already adopted. He did want to find her but unfortunately died in 1989 so makes it almost impossible to find her... please help! I am an only child and it means so much to have another connection to my dad
480. Dsyeaton : We looked for decades for a missing cousin. We found his sibling several years ago via cousinconnect and him this year (2019) via DNA, about two weeks before their birth mother our aunt died.
She was born in 1960 and adopted in FL. He was born in 1958, adopted in CA, and lives in UT.
At our aunt’s funeral, neighbors told us that in her last months, she told them she had children. Three or four children. Neighbors have told us that the aunt (born 1936) became pregnant in high school (1950-1955 if this is true) or at age 17 (1953-1954 if this is true) and was sent to FL to have the baby.
We do not know much: mother’s maiden name, if listed: Anderson, birth state of mother: MA, she was very tall and thin, loved animals and dogs, Danish, German, English ethnicity. We have done DNA on ancestrydna and 23andme.
If this is you....or you think it could be you because part of the story matches...please do DNA testing so that we can see if we match!
And we are unsure why there were said to be: three or four children. Could it have been twins, which run in our family? Or is there another child with a different birth year and possible different birth and adoption state? These birth years are only guesses...it conceivably could have been any time after her birth in 1936 as maybe a teen (1949 or before?) to menopause (maybe before 1986?) but most likely in the 1950s or 1960s. Do any of these guesses for you or someone you know? We are a dozen cousins looking for decades!
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
