407. JaneElizabeth1955 : I was conceived in Germany where my birth mother was a shipping clerk (civilian) attached to the army, my father was an American serviceman in the US Army.
My mother was Angela Mary Sutherland Leghorn, aged 22 years and she came from Southport, she had a sister and a mother and was returning there after giving me up for adoption in April or May 1955
I was born in St Helier Hospital, Carshalton, London Borough of Sutton on 1st April 1955
410. MaiMhambo : Birth father Colin HORSFIELD [DNA verified] - served British Army 27+ years from c1959 in various postings including overseas & latterly in Special Forces. BUT eventually based in / retired to Preston Lancashire. Has known legitimate children and his wife believes him have 5+ illegitimate children, some adopted [like myself] and some not [like my DNA identified half sibling] - so there are at least 3 others ’out there’. The online form only allows a limited range of years but quite simply these children could be born into the 1980s. So very general and not very helpful overview.

My DNA is on ancestry .com under my adopted name...we think!!! (Naomi Richards) we found a 3 rd cousin in Northern Ireland....but that’s it....my DNA was mostly from NI , some Mediterranean, and other mixed in!! My father was never named on the certificate...my mother lived in Exeter and i believe my dad was possibly from the Navy down that way.....Vodden is an unusual name......I possibly have two sisters we found but not sure born in the 80s ......my paternal aunt ran the adoption society where I was adopted from...but the papers for those went many years ago. I don’t want to create trouble.. I d just like to know where I come from......

I am searching for any family members
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
