She went to The Home of The Good Shepherd in Haslemere, Surrey from her home in Cheshire the address which is on my birth certificate. She gave birth to me in St Luke’s Hospital, Guildford, Surrey on January 9th 1953. I was adopted at 11 weeks by Horace and Kathleen Madgwick from Haslemere where I grew up. I had a wonderful home life with 3 brothers and a sister. I’ve always wondered about many things about my adoption, the unanswered questions and im sure my birth mother has wondered how I got on.
