It appears that my grandma had an affair during the war and my dad was born in 1942. From the DNA test I have a strong match with the Hopwood family and have carried out some research but have now come to a halt and hoped you may have some information that can help me find my unknown side of the family.
I am looking for a Brian Hopwood who was born in Oldham Lancashire 1940 to Ernest and Winifred Hopwood.
I have been told by Ernest sister recently that Winifred died in 1941 shortly after Brian was born. Ernest went to live with his grandma Selina Hopwood for a short time and During this time Brian was adopted.
