I only know that our Mother took the boat from Dublin as a young catholic teenager to England probably in 1953 and give birth to my sister in either latter part of 1953 or early part of 1954 and then my sister adopted in England. Afterwards my Mother returned home to Ireland.
489. Jopark7 : Hello, I only know my birth mother’s name.. Iris Hamer no name of my father as only her name on the birth certificate.. I was put up for adoption as soon as I was born.. I was told my birth mother was given time to see if she would change her mind, but this did not happen, my birth parents left my details in an adoption agency in Liverpool in case she wanted to find anything out down the line, but nothing happened. I do really know any more other than she was Irish.
I don’t say much to my parents as I don’t want to upset them.
490. ChrissieR7951 : This is my half sister who was born to my mother Mary Theresa Noblett who lived in Wandsworth Ave‚ Clayton Manchester. She was born in Crumpsall Hospital‚ Manchester and apparently adopted by two local neighbours who I believed moved from the area‚ possibly somewhere near Colne‚ lancs but that is only a guess. She was registered as Mary Patricia Noblett. She was apparently adopted within 10-14 days after birth.
492. GillianGillespie : She was born in Fairfield Hospital, Bury. When she was born I called her Sarina Pauline O’Neil. Someone told me her name might now be Sarah. The Uplands clinic in Whitefield organised a foster parent called Pat who looked after Sarina (some might spell it Serena or Sarina) for a year. I used to go down every week on a Wednesday to visit her at Pat’s house in Edgeworth until she was adopted out to a family I am unaware of who they are. I think they could have been in Bolton. She will now be 38 years old. She will probably have very dark brown hair.
