My dad was adopted shortly after he was born. He was born in Sefton Hospital in Liverpool May 1968. I don’t know much about his birth or adoption but know he was adopted from Clumber Lodge on 26th July 1968.
He was born Paul Martin Timson, and his original birth certificate states his biological mother was Maria D Timson who was a nursery student at the time. Unfortunately there are no biological fathers details on the certificate.

I found a letter amongst my Dad’s things stating that he "could now cease payments, as the child has been adopted" From memory this letter was dated 1967. However, I saw the letter only once, I don’t remember there being a letter head and so I may be out by a couple of years.
This is a subject that has never been discussed within the family, It is only due to my curious (nosy) nature that I found this letter as a child.
My Dad’s name was Louis (Lou) Smith, he was born in 1934 in Widnes and remained there all his life. At the time of my siblings adoption he would have lived in Barnes Road.
I am an only child and it would mean the world if I could find a big brother or sister.

FRANK231 : Yes I am trying to locate how to obtain adoptive documents and birth certificate relating to my sister KATHLEEN WALTON , later known as KATHLEEN JACKSON, later still was adopted by a married couple from Preston Lancashire surname unknown. She was born in Sharoe Green maternity hospital on 9th. July, 1950. She was later handed over to Saint Josephs Orphanage in Preston by her mother who later offered to this unknown couple who adopted her. Her father had left by this time. She as access to two birth certificates through the Records Office one showing the father as FRANK WALTON other one showing WILLIAM AUBREY JACKSON
