His mother’s name was Barbara and his fathers name is Ernie
723. Shugs : I am trying to find my father’s sister. They were both in the Scattered Homes in Oldham in the early 1920’s. The last information I have on her is in the 1921 census. Her name was Annie Hughes and she born in the Oldham Union Workhouse Her mother was Mary Ann Hughes. There was no father registered on the birth certificate.

733. Kazzywazzy : My name is Karen.
My mother was Doreen Edwards (Sherman) from Poulton le fylde. Lancashire.
Trying to find my half brother whom I think was adopted through the courts in Liverpool but may have been Lancashire. His original name on birth certificate was Michael John.
I have had my name on National adoption register for around 20 years to no avail.
Mum never wanted to give you up. It affected her whole life and she never stopped loving you.
734. Canadiankaty : The adopted child was Rosa A. Bell‚ born around 1872 or 1873‚ likely adopted in 1876. There is a 1881 census showing her living with Henry and Elizabeth Orritt at age 9. That census lists her as adopted by the Orritts. On all census entries and on her marriage certificate‚ no maiden name or father´s name or place of birth is ever listed. On the 1921 census‚ for place or birth‚ Rosa entered ¨been in England since I was three¨. This makes me think she might have been born in Ireland or someplace out of England. AncestryDNA results show genetic relationships to people living in Wexford Ireland as well as Southport England. Family members say her father´s name was John Bell‚ however‚ AncestryDNA results are not showing strong proof of a link to Bells. Family members say her mother´s maiden name was McLean‚ but‚ again‚ the AncestryDNA results do not show a strong link to McLeans so far.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
