He was born at the Queen Victoria Hospital in Johannesburg. The social welfare removed him from his parents and placed him in St. Mary’s Childrens Home in Rosettenville‚ Johannesburg. I went to the home some years ago to make enquiries. They found his file but found no documentation in the file. They thought he might have been adopted by people with the surname "Swart" or "Black" but were not sure. So to this day I have no further information.

Her date of birth is 30 January 1952. I believe she lived in Bloemfontein and later in Kimberly. She gave birth to me in Pretoria at a Home for unwed mother’s and run by the nuns. The adoption took place through the catholic church and in those days it was an entirely closed adoption. Apparently I have a half brother called Pieter Nienaber and a half sister called Nicolette. I imagine she may have married and now have a different surname. That is all the information that I have managed to find. I’m currently awaiting DNA results.
