198. HesterMienie : I am looking for my brother who was adopted 1963/1964.(not sure which month) He was born on the 19th March 1963 as Dirk Johannes Cornelis Smith. His father was Timothy Roland Smith and his mother was Frederika Christina Smith. If you can get any information can you please contact me. I also think that his names was changed after the adoption. If you need more information please don’t hesitate to contact me. I really am trying to find my brother. We were all in a childrens home and we were split up and I would like to meet my brother if it is possible.
I am not sure if this will help but the number on the birth certificate was 663/028 792 and then there is another number 64/45860 and a long number 1962ct63 600 000 5 and 3516/63/534. if any of these could help. I would really appreciate it if you can get me any info on this matter.

Our mother and father resided in Uitenhage at the time and my mother went to Pretoria to give birth to him and where he was given up for adoption. I believe Armstrong Berning Tehuis was one of the possible places that my mother possibly could have gone to. My mom and dad were not yet married then, so I am not sure under who’s name he was registered. My father’s full names were Alwyn Herklas Herselman and my mother’s full name was Ann McCaig.

And that his name is theuns swart(dont know the right spelling of that name) i made peace with that for many years. But as the time passed i started wondering about who he mite be.
