I was informed much later in life that I have an older sister who related with my birth parents. I was only one adopted out. And add far as I know I was adopted at birth. I’m assuming my family, or mother at least is Jewish because I was not converted.
My adopted parents’ names are: Mervyn and Lynette Kahn. When we lived in S.A. we had a farm in middleburg called Kanheim(sp?). But we lived in Atholl, Joburg. PLEASE HELP!
551. PieterTerblanche : I am looking for my birth Father, his name is Rudolph Petrus Gerhardus Smit.
He was born on 05/12/1937
His was staying in the Drie Riviere / Vereniging area, Gauteng Province in South Africa
554. VerityLouisse : I am still searching for many years for my biological Jewish father whose name is Anthony Robert Alkon. His identity number is unknown to me. His father who owned a mattress factory during the 1960s in the Johannesburg, South Africa CBD, forced him to return to Israel or somewhere else as soon as he heard that my mother Louise Rose Roos was expecting me. My grandfather Pieter Gysbertus Roos was a magistrate at the time I was born and he instructed the police to go to the airport and stop my biological father from leaving the country, but to no avail. I have no idea either if he ever returned to South Africa or is he is still alive. I even visited the Jewish Board of Deputies in Johannesburg SA, to help me locate the whereabouts of my biological father but they refused to help me. I am still deeply saddened not knowing where he is. I have one photo of him and my mother together which was taken before I was born.
I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
