Unfortunately I don’t have much to go on - He would have been born to Mary Maude Brotherton in the early 1950’s and was forcibly adopted out at birth - sort of thing that happened to single mothers in those days.
Not sure which hospital but assume it’s in the JHB area as they lived in Witchwood‚ Germiston.
If he wants to know about her will I gladly fill the gaps. Also mom never forgave herself for it and carried a lot of guilt throughout her life and I would like him to know that. As soon as she told us all the depression and sadness made a lot more sense.
I believe that the birth & adoption records are sealed so I will not be able to access them - is this correct?
