1. Berylb : I was born in johannesburg and my birth mothers name is Patricia O’Gorman. Child Welfare handled the adoption.
2. Pepe : My father was adopted from an orphanage in Blood (Bloed) Street, Pretoria. The orphanage has since closed. The family tells a story that his mother came from Rhodesia. It is rumored that her surname was Van Der Westhuizen. The date of birth could be date of adoption as the original birth certificate was not released.
4. Ddk24161 : I want to find a child my mother gave up for adoption before my birth. My mothers name : Petronella Christina Susanna Viljoen. She gave birth to a daughter between 1954 - 1959. The daughter may have been named Annemarie or Marlize or a similar name. I think it was somewhere in the old Transvaal area but am not sure. You did trace her to Cape Town but she refused contact. I would love to meet you if you would like to meet me.
5. Ddk24161 : I am looking for my sister who was adopted before I was born. She would have been born between the years of 1953-1960‚ either in Cape Town‚ or the Transvaal. Our Mother’s maiden name was Petronella Christina Susana Viljoen. (Her last name became ’Crook’ after she Married my father Stanley Crook in 1961) Our mother was from the Transvaal and born in 1939‚ she fell pregnant at a very young age‚ and was unmarried at the time of pregnancy so she gave the child up for adoption. We do not have the same father‚ her fathers identity is un-known. I believe her name was something along the lines of Anne-Marie/Marlize/Marelize‚ but I am not certain. My sister had tried to reach out to our Mother once‚ many years ago‚ but our mother did not wish to connect with her at the time. I would love to connect with my sister and get the chance to possibly meet her one day. Please message me.

She lived in Kimberley street 233, Evans Park, Johannesburg. The date of my adoption was 11 October 1978. I know that there was supposed to be no contact between myself and my birth mom as requested by my adoptive parents, but I only found this out recently and would really like to find my birth mom, even if just to meet her once.
10. MARNA : My mothers name is Fransina Elizabeth Pretorius and I was born in Johannesburg. She registered me as Erica Pretorius. I would like to find her.
11. Samdunc : I found out a few years ago that my mom had a child 18 April 1966 which she had no choice but to give up for adoption at Cotlands in Turfontein. She has been wanting to find her for years, but has been too afraid of rejection. Unfortunatly my mom passed away in 2008, and I feel I must find my sister for her, even though she is gone. She told me that not a day went by that she has not thought about her. I believe my mom tried to relocate her when my mom got married but they werent able to find the right information. I also feel that I need to find my sister...I have a sister out there that I dont know and that I want to know!

I was matched with my birth mother just minutes after setting up my profile. It turns out that she had been searching for me for years. It's been a joy to connect with her and the rest of my biological family.
